- FOREO devotees are abuzz with the launch of the newest iteration of the popular LUNA cleansing device. LUNA 4 is now available, so in this post which FOREO has graciously agreed to sponsor, I'll take a look at what the LUNA 4 can do for your skin, what's new compared to the LUNA 3, and if it could be a good choice for your skincare needs. Though they are sponsoring this post, FOREO has not told me what I have to say or what I can't say about LUNA 4, so consider these thoughts my own.

What is FOREO LUNA 4?
The FOREO LUNA 4 is a smart, connected, and soft silicone facial cleansing brush that gently removes dirt and residue from your skin-and this new version is billed as the most gentle and powerful LUNA ever.
The soft silicone surface is gentle on the skin, and the small bristles feel cleansing well without harshly scrubbing-lessening your skin breakouts.
What's new? Review (Luna 3 VS Luna 4)
The most gentle LUNA yet, FOREO says LUNA 4 is made of 17% softer silicone touchpoints that glide even more effortlessly across your skin to help maintain its natural elasticity (and this is after FOREO made major improvements to bristle softness on the LUNA 3)!
I can say that it's noticeably softer just running my fingers over the brush's surface, so I'm looking forward to trying it on my face.
New FOREO LUNA 4 massage patterns
LUNA 4 has some new cleansing and massage options, divided up in the app labeled as 'Massage and Treatments'. Each one has subtle differences, so you can choose one based on how it feels or what you are hoping to accomplish. The different massage patterns range from waves that increase and decrease and intensity to more staccato vibrations. It also has subtler, low-intensity massage options.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage: Boosts circulation - eyes & jaw
Deep Tissue Massage: Relieves tension - cheeks & jaw
Trigger Point Massage: Relieves muscle tightness - neck
Shiatsu Massage: Promotes calm - forehead & temples
Reflexology Massage: Restores energy - eyebrows & ears
Four Treatment Options:
The LUNA 4 has four different treatment options: 'Eyes on the Prize' (for firming the eye area), 'Nothing but Neck' (for toning the neck and decollete), 'Contour Crazy' (sculpts the jawline and cheeks), and 'Mouth Magic' (tightens jawline and reduces frown lines). Both devices' settings have video tutorials showing how to use them properly.
The connected app, by the way, can also be used for locating a lost device and can even help you track your cleansing habits.
Custom Cleansing
It's possible to create your custom cleansing routine by using the FOREO app, and it makes it easy to adjust the duration and intensity of your cleansing treatment. You can choose to lower the intensity of T-Sonic pulsations, for example, on sensitive cheeks prone to rosacea, or augment them to clean an oily forehead more thoroughly. Choose your device in the FOREO app and then select Settings.
LUNA 4: what to expect
LUNA devices are made to help you better cleanse the skin on your face, neck, and chest without being harsh. They offer gentle skin exfoliation that helps to clean makeup, sunscreen, dirt, sweat, dead skin cells, and just about any other thing that might get in the way of you having clean, glowing skin.
To prepare for treatment, open the FOREO app and choose your massage or treatment option. Alternatively, you can push the power button on the back of the device to get started without connecting. The app is quite easy to navigate, and all the options are clearly laid out.
Using LUNA 4
Using the LUNA 4 gives you a more thorough cleansing treatment than soap and water or washcloth alone, and it will let you know when to move on to different areas of the face so you get a complete, thorough clean.
When you turn it on for the first time, you'll feel the gently vibrating device as you press it against your skin, and this micro-scrubbing helps to cleanse and shake the dirt/oil build-up from your pores. Special double pulses at certain times will be a clue that it's time to move on to another area of your face, which is a great feature.
The silicone bristles on the LUNA 4 are much softer and silkier than LUNA 3, the previous version. They feel much more like a soft brush than a silicone pad, and though I've never found them harsh or rough, anyone who's been waiting will want to try the LUNA 4 now, thanks to this softer version.

Having the best features in one device sounds amazing and I'd love to try it
For sure!
How cool is this device! Foreo always comes up with new things, they are so innovative and one step ahead of others 😍
Love Foreo!
Irecall when the wash cloths, were the rage. Great info.👍
Hahah. True. Thanks for watching
Thanks for this video Erin! I entered your giveaway for this device on your blog, fingers crossed as it’s now sold out online!!!
Woah! Good to know
Wow Erin, thanks for the review! I love the idea of a multi use device that does everything I need! Can you switch off the led lights or microcurrent if you're not feeling up to using those?
Exactly. It’s very customizable.
Led light therapy is required for 21 mins right ? I dont know luna 3 plus makes more sense to me so I think I will order that
Why do I not see this device on the website?
Nice brush. I have a simple one, Luna 3 but I bet that one is even better.
It's pretty great!
@@ErinLawrenceTV I got a code from a friend for additional discount on their sale: SAVEBIG. This year is more than I expected :)
Does the Luna 3 plus and the new Luna 4 plus do the same job?🎉
Hello. I have been using luna mini 2 for a long time, but this luna 4 range looks amazing and I would like to upgrade and I need this kind of review to help me decide, to be honest. You have covered it all, but I would like to ask you - if the bristles are even softer now do they manage to get all the residues off? Is it gentle enough to use it daily?
Great question. Yes, the bristles are noticeably softer and nicer. Like I said in the video, I didn’t think they could be any softer, but they are. Even so it does still managed to get make up residue and dirt off. I also think it is gentle enough for every day use.
Tks
Hello, I have just received this device and although the lights are working I can't feel any heat coming off of them even on power leverl 10. How noticeable should the heat be?
The lights don’t produce heat. There’s another component that warms up the device.
May you compare the difference between Luna 3 plus vs Luna 4 plus?
Hi Hannah, great idea for a video… I’ll put that on my list.
Hi just wondering, should you realy feel the warmth of the led? Because I just bought one and I don’t feel the warmth.
It's noticeable, yes. If you can't feel it maybe something's wrong with your device?
Would the UFO2 be valuable if you had the Luna 4 Plus?
I think so, yes. UFO has more light heat and cool options.
How does the microcurrent compare to the foreo bear?
I think it feels a teeny bit less powerful. Because the electrodes are smaller it might not have quite the same power as the dedicated device. But it still seems to do a good job.
I wouldn’t say that it’s less powerful. You can put the power of microcurrent From 1 to 16. I use only 3 because 4 is already very strong. Definitely worth to buy that
You have lost all credibility. You are obviously getting paid for this review. This product is a scam.
Yes please tell us why
Then don’t buy it? I am getting my self one❤
Hi Curt. Yes this is a paid video, which I say at the beginning of it. No secret. I happen to like the products and find they work for me. Like some of the others here, I would also like to know why you think this is a “scam”?
@@ErinLawrenceTV Can you point to any clinical studies to back up any of these claims? Not somebody else's blog claiming studies have been done, but actual studies. You can't because there aren't any.
There is nothing magical about LED lights. It's just another way to emit photons. If red light is good for your skin, you could just put red light bulbs in your house. Light bulbs are LED these days anyway, so you could just buy a multi color one and turn it red for an hour, then change it back to white. And LED lights on a device that is meant to be used around the eyes is dangerous.
There's no such thing as gentle exfoliation. The gentler you exfoliate, the less exfoliation occurs. I'm always amazed that the people who "gently exfoliate" and pat their skin dry, are the same one's that pay someone thousands to burn their face off with chemicals or lasers. If you want exfoliation, get a proper exfoliating washcloth for a couple bucks.
Micro currents? If there was any truth to that, we would have been rubbing 9V batteries across our faces for the last hundred years.
It looks like this device costs around CA$350 and does nothing more than whatever it costs for a lightbulb, a washcloth and a bettery.

Odd that it’s not available in the US eight months after you posted your review. I tried chatting with the company and they don’t have a US release date yet. Makes me wonder if they’re having issues getting it approved for sale in the US? In the meantime, I’m missing out on sales for the Luna 4 waiting for a product that may never be released in the US. 🥲
Oh no!
