    These types of videos are so valuable. I'll be back at AH this weekend, looking for BLM spot nestled in the rocks as usual, but Tuttle Creek looks to be a great fallback for my party if anything falls through. Thank you!

    Alabama Hills has always been high on my Bucket List. Since I was a young boy I've enjoyed watching westerns with glimpses of the Eastern Sierras as the backdrop. I recently watched some Randolph Scott movies that were filmed in that area. Hopefully one day soon I can experience it in person. Thanks again for your honest and informative videos.

    The views are fabulous but, baby, the wind can blow! Nice dump station and fresh water "in season." Composition of soil keeps dust minimal.

    Thanks for the update. I watched your other videos this week. We changed our plans from 5th wheel camping to remaining on the NorCal coast. We'll try again towards the end of spring.
    Thanks again!

    We were there (at site #40) for a week including Independence Day. to our pleasant surprise, there were so many sites available: there were less than ten sites occupied in each day. Tuttle Creek campground is one of my favorite campgrounds for the following reasons: No need for booking, availability of camp sites throughout the year, close to Alabama Hills and John Muir trails (including Mt. Whitney trail), good dining places (in Lone Pine), its quietness (except some wind in early afternoon), good view of the Sierra mountains, Owens lake, and night sky, and affordable price ($ 8 per day, $4 for senior citizens or golden pass holders). The only complaint I had about the campground is that running water is not available as it used to be. The majority of the wells are locked (maybe because there are not many campers). I had to walk some distance to get some water.

    😃 Good Morning ! What an awsome video !! Wow ! I just cant get over how beautiful this place looks!! Its just so vast and different looking than what we see here in the east. Its like a totally different world, and so unbelievable! So pretty !! The mountains look like they have snow on them but its just the angle of the light I guess that makes it look whiter, like its snow. Cool campground, and looks like you had an awsome site. Complete with a "table rock" to sit your plate or drink on ! lol Looks like you backed in just perfect to it ! (Melody must have done a great job of directing you that day) 🤗 lol The horse corral at your site...what is that for ? incase you had your horse with you, you would use that as a pen? Do horses run wild there? Its hard to see, in the video, just how much of a slope there is in each site. I mean they look level to me. lol Wow, how beautiful each sunrise and sunset must have been !! What you showed was awsome !! How the sun hits those mountains is incredible to say the least !! Loved the clip of the Lone Pine History Museum! Awsome looking place! We would love to go in there for sure! Love me some Roy Rogers, and his horse, Trigger ! I actually got to meet him years ago at a re-opening of his Restaurant here where we live. I had an old book from when I was little and he signed it for me. Melody looks so relaxed, sittin in her chair enjoying the view! Nice fire ring that they had there, I liked how tall it was. How long was your stay? Well, wonderful video guys, we enjoyed it very much. (as usual) Did miss seeing little Milo tho 😟 its always fun watching him having a good time !!! Well, Happy Trail's to you, and we'll be waiting for the next one to come out !! We are having a blast traveling along !!! Thank you. stay safe, Vicky

      Hi Vicky. Wow - I guess Milo did not make a guest appearance in this video. There was so much to see and do here that I guess he was popped. There was snow atop of Mt. Whitney! It towers 14507 feet above sea level. Lou

    I stopped using my auto leveler. I figure out which end or side is lowest and level it myself manually. Great video. You should research the earthquake that hit Lone Pine in the late 1800s.

    thanks for the video. The campground looks good, great views of the mountains. Do people fish in the creek? I have a 24ft motorhome towing a car, can I get into this campground ok? I don't have auto levelers, I would have to go up on leveling blocks. Planning a trip there in Sept. I want to go to that museum. Good to know they allow dogs. Is there any cell service there. I am sure there isn't wifi even with a booster. Is there a location in Lone Pine for wifi?

    • @LivingOurDreamNow
      @LivingOurDreamNow  Před 2 lety +1

      I hade no problem accessing the campground, but don't follow navigation. Access via the town center of Lone Pine turning left at the red light. Creek is too small to fish. Lou
