One of the things that I absolutely adore about Ateez is the fact that they don't let go of their own sound and presence. When a lot of groups cover songs, they keep the song the same. But Ateez stayed true to who they are and made BWL their own. They brought their own sound and flare to this song and the performance is better for it. Especially when you look at Hongjoong and Mingi. They are covering two of the most insane rappers in the industry, yet they down try to sound like Yoongi and Joon, respectively. Hongjoong and Mingi modified the parts to keep true to their style of performance. Ateez is truly one of a kind.

So I'm not an Ateez fan, I'm ARMY, and this is the first time I'm seeing this. This was done super well! Respect to them for making this their own, while still staying true to the original. I remember when Stray Kids did Dionysus, and no offense to them, but that performance was terrible. Dionysus is an extremely hard song and choreography to pull off. But, back to Ateez and BWL, I genuinely enjoyed this!! It didn't come off trying too hard at all. It was really cute, lively and, like I mentioned before, Ateez made it their own and I truly appreciate that. It's nice to see their own take on it!
Ye stray kids recently did a shinee cover too and couldn't do it justice tbh. But Ateez's cover of Sherlock is incredible!!
