Young Piper Calan Daniels welcoming visitors to Braemar Castle as it re-opened on Wednesday 1st May 2024, following the completion of a community-led restoration project. Calan was playing "Campbell's farewell to Redcastle" and the "Earl of Manfield".
Braemar Castle, on the edge of the Royal Deeside village, has been re-roofed and re-harled to the exterior and undergone internal restoration work as part of the £1.6m programme. Braemar Castle is the only Community run Castle in Scotland and part of the Clan Farquharson Estate.
