Expressive arts therapist, Natalie Rogers (daughter of famed humanistic psychologist Carl Rogers), demonstrates the power of moving beyond words and into the realm of art with a client struggling with feeling trapped in her tedious job, and unable to overcome her negative thinking. With Rogers's warm presence and expert facilitation skills, Suzen moves through fear and self-doubt and gains access to her authentic self who is ready to shine.

To the person who said it's not effective. Look I'm an artists and I've always expressed my inner self on canvas, clay etc. I have C-PTSD and dissociative disorder. So I don't know what's all inside of me and I can not reach there with words. But I can show it with ink and when I look at it, it gives me this deep satisfaction and feeling of safety and being whole.
It might not resolve it alone, but no therapy does. Severe issues need time and many obstacles to be taken.
    Art therapy is one step.
And for creative people, sometimes the only language they know

Everyone is different, one size does not fit all. What works for one may not work for the next, vice versa. I am equally a fan of Albert Ellis and expressive arts; as well as other theories and forms of therapeutic intervention.

If you close your eyes, she sounds like Ellen Degeneres
