  • People are always asking about what to take or how to set up, so here's a quick video showing my set up for a variety of different stalls, as well as a list of what I consider the essentials.
I've included here some links for items I use - available from Amazon. I am part of the Amazon affiliate program, so if you buy through one of these links I do get a small commission but as you can see from the video, these are all items I have bought myself and use on my stall, I would not recommend anything I haven't tried and loved!
    LINKS!
    Jewellery Stands - amzn.to/4c2jqfU
    amzn.to/3X33aao
    amzn.to/3UXZyUk
    Organza Bags - amzn.to/4c0Khcy
    Gazebo - amzn.to/3VpKQXZ
    Power bank - amzn.to/4c0JPuS
    Trolley - amzn.to/4bGUkng
    Cash tin - amzn.to/3yJBihu
My list of essentials (not including the actual art for sale! :) )
    Canopy/gazebo
    Tables
    Chair!
Something to hang your work off - if you are outdoors and can hang from gazebo great, but if indoors you’ll need some sort of stand
Something to hang your paintings on your stand with (I use S hooks mostly)
A trolley is fabulous, especially if you can’t park super close to where you are setting up.
    Windex/cleaner and soft cloth
Bags in multiple sizes - I have 3 sizes of brown paper bags, lots of packing material to wrap larger things in, and small organza bags for jewellery
Tape, scissors, cable ties, safety pins!
    Notepad/order book
    Pen
    Business cards/flyers
Price tags or some way to display prices
A small framed “about the artist/fluid art” piece just a pic and some info about you and what you do.
Cash tin (lockable) with change in suitable denominations to match your prices (if you have a lot of things priced at $8 or $9 ($19, $29) you’ll need lots of ones and twos for change - think about what cash people will likely have on them and have enough in your tin to make change for that multiple times!
Square or other EFTPOS reader - I use Square, its cheap, runs off an app on my phone, easy to set up (no commission here I just use it and like it)
    Water, food, tissues, a book.
Sunscreen. Sunglasses, sunhat - for the outdoor markets on hot/sunny days
Blanket, scarf, coat, warm hat - for the outdoor markets on cold days/evenings
A big smile, a prepared set of speeches for the inevitable comments - prepare yourself - its fluid art, and not everyone will love it. Keep smiling, don’t let the haters bring you down - you paint for you not them. Some will love it and want to know all about it though, so have some prepared short explanations ready.
