    What a nice dog and great explanations of training! I had two high-drive male Dobermans and best advice I ever got was: "Never ask a Doberman to do anything, tell them." :)

    Thank you so much for your videos! I've been doing my research for the last year to prepare for bringing a Doberman home for my 30th birthday. Dunkin is amazing and these videos are so succinct. Love how you explain all of your techniques. I am so excited to welcome my pup home!!

    I really love how you taught him to heal to the front. I have a chocolate lab and he is not getting the concept of turning around after we give him the heal command and he runs towards us. Dunkin is so well trained.

      +Lord Dobby ........Was your comment a lame attempt at sarcsm? The "prongs" are studs exposed to the OUTSIDE of the collar for DISPLAY/DECORATION. They are NOT being turned into the dog's neck. And brush up on your spelling/grammar dude. Your 2nd "statement" (???) is not even close to being correct in any shape, form or fashion.

      sad passive agressive comment by a person with CLEARLY no experience with large dogs or obedience training in general, im not a fan of the prong collar it seems like overkill, but when used PROPERLY it is humane and very effective, and these people are obviously using it it properly.

    I'm not a fan of the pinch collars. Dobermans have no under coat and feel it more sensitive than would other breeds such as Rottweiler's or others that do have a under coat. Dobermans just have that one layer of hair and direct skin that can be damaged by pinch collars.

      RBB.... whether you are 'a fan of the pinch collars' or not important. Pro trainers all across America use them correctly. You opinion is an opinion. You can be wrong.

    Hi my doberman is 1 year 1 month and a handful she barks at cats, kids, motorcycles. Rough with my 2 year old brother and 3 year old maltese and jumps at me and sometimes does the chomp bite. Ive only had her since she was 1 yeat old. She is VERY hyperactive. I really want her to be a polite dog. I try to give her walks with a little jog (10-15mins) each day, but only manage about 4 to 5 times a week. She listens to the sit command and can be calm but usually shes too energised and i get very frustrated even when i try to calm myself down. Sometimes when i want to train her she gets distracted and ignores me until shes satisfied with her chase. Please help me.

    • @TheJahool
      @TheJahool Před 8 lety

      +imelda ying xin have you found what motivates her? Food? Ball? Squeaky toys? Try riding a bike with her next to you so she REALLY gets some energy out? I'm not a pro dog trainer, but these are my ideas. :D Some people say to exercise your dog hard and then train them if you need to.

    • @liluzi3892
      @liluzi3892 Před 8 lety

      You need to walk with her more and if she's hyperactive just play with her an extra long time and when she's ready then just start training her.
