Steamroller - Art for Enlightenment

Last semester, a group of art students at WAB created elaborate, painstakingly detailed woodcut prints. On May 14th 2024, the class stamped their woodcuts onto broad canvases using a steamroller; transferring their artwork onto an innovative medium, thereby merging the traditional art of wood-carving with non-traditional printing methods.
To spotlight student perspectives on WAB art, we interviewed the leaders of Art For Enlightenment - a creative club dedicated to driving social change through art. They will be selling the steam-roller prints at school events and donating all funds to Cultural Canvas: a project dedicated to supporting children in Uganda and Congo by providing online art tutorials. This partnership will allow AFE to connect with students in these regions and work on collaborative projects together. By combining their efforts, AFE aims to inspire creativity and provide valuable educational resources to children in need.
