An off-the-radar role: Wilkinson as Gen Fromm in "Valkyrie" (2008), opposite Tom Cruise's Von Staffenburg. An under-appreciated gem of a movie, and not a happy one. Wilkinson is perfect as a spineless, a**-covering German officer who has no love for the regime, but his loyalty always goes to the side that ensures his self-preservation.
Great movie. TW was great in it.
Just watched him in "Denial." He's been excellent in so many films. What a tremendous career. Thoughts and prayers to his loved ones.
Loved him in Rock N Rolla. He played a real villain. His role in Batman Begins was excellent too. He was a great actor. RIP Tom
Loved Tom especially in The Full Monty, but never saw him in a role in which he didn't excell. It was one of my mom's favorite movies and she has passed as well. So nice to know he was a loving husband and father to two daughters in addition to being a memorable actor.

Rewatched eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind for the 20th time recently. His role wasnt major but i always enjoy his acting
I loved him with Sissy Spacek in 'In The Bedroom' - an amazing, chilling film to this day, and as Falcone in Batman Begins! Brilliant actor. He will be missed! Also, how tragic to die so suddenly... RIP

I did not hear of Tom until I watched In The Bedroom. His scenes with Sissy were phenomenal & explosive and although understated in this performance, he actually was the backbone to the movie. I also enjoyed him in Michael Clayton. RIP Mr. Wilkerson.

Tom Wilkinson was like Michael Caine in that every film he was in became interesting because he was in it. He was one of my favorite actors of this lifetime and I will miss all of the roles he was not able to get to in this lifetime. Loved him. For me his greatest performance was a lesser known one, the 1994 film, Priest, directed by Antonia Bird. He was brilliant in that.
