Also, I love Jess, but I don’t think she understands what he’s saying about Comedy. She may be funny, but if she can’t sell shows by herself on those same stages where she does comedy with other comedians, that tells you something. It’s not that you’re not funny, it’s that Bill Burr and other comedians are selling shows based on the fact they keep the crowd rolling with laughter for a long time and risk bombing to tell new ideas. If you’ve never bombed, you can’t possibly be very innovative. Because it takes you working these bits out on stage to get to the special kind of material people want to see in their specials.
Not only that…. And she hasn’t bombed…. YET! It will happen,and when it happens it may break her. It’s gonna humble her really quick!

Amazing comic actor. I think he could be the GOAT of that, but stand-up? Raw & Delirious don't even hold up as well as Live on the Sunset Strip, half of Carlin, Robin Williams' last special, or even Killin Em Softly
Not saying they aren't good, but the energy is from the energy of the time and the moment. People saying he's the GOAT of stand up are just nostalgic. That's why he won't return to stand up. He's brilliant and hilarious, but he'd be battling with the nostalgia people have for that young energy, and he'd be bringing something mature that's more genuine to his experience and people prob wouldn't be expecting it because of the gap of time. And he couldn't just do what he did in those specials because it'd be like the Return of the King episode of the Boondocks. Times have changed, and it wouldn't be genuine. I hope people stop putting pressure on him about it, and he secretly comes back and drops this dope special one day. Maybe him and Martin could tour together in aged up makeup from Life. That'd be hilarious
I think people say Eddie the goat because he took what Richard Pryor was doing comedically to another level. Several of the big comics from the last 40 years name him as their inspiration. People still quoting his jokes from those two specials.

The projects were temporary housing for Vets and others who were waiting on subdivisions to be built in the suburbs. Once the houses were built they let Black ppl have them, because they served no purpose. And naturally they didn’t care if they stayed in prime condition.
Then it became a blessing to TPTB they were able to contain all the Black ppl in one area away from their precious homes. Sad affair.

Once I moved to a different city to "The suburbs" my truck was broken into on a Monday then stolen and totalled on Wednesday the same week by 2 guys who had been following me from "The hood". I truly feel bad for Jess, if you asked her female comedian counterparts what they really think of her as a comedian, I can assure you it would be a political campaign 😂. She’s a personality more than a comedian. The reason she’s on the breakfast club is because those “comedy” checks ain’t cutting it for her. No one is making arrangements to see Jess at a comedy show or club and that’s just a fact. Glad she was able to transition into radio which is more her speed.
