  • This week's Veg Hack focuses on the extraterrestrial looking kohlrabi... it's definitely one of the more unusual looking vegetables you'll find in our veg boxes.
Here's chef James breaks it down into 4 cuts and suggests ways to cook and eat each of them.

Always get these in our CSA basket (community supported agriculture) and have never known what to do with it! Thank you! Have an enormous one so will try half roasted and half in a salad!

Such a high-quality video! Cannot believe that you have just 5k views. The moderator has an excellent voice, the script is well thought out and the video editing so precise and intuitive. Congratulations and wish you all luck from Germany.

Using this versatile veg is a really good addition to anyone's cooking and really good to get recipe ideas from countries where it is more familiar.

Great vid, music a bit distracting. Love Kohlrabi, used it in coleslaw, used stalks with rainbow chard stalks and lots of garlic and cream in a gratin, delish!

This was super useful and clear ! It would be great to make for other veggies. Leaks, artichokes etc. I’m eating kohlrabi for some time and I was always throwing away the leaves :(

Where I come from I never heard of cooking it. Ever since childhood, I just peal it and eat it raw as it is. Also it's common to put it thinly sliced on piece bread with butter. My grandma patiently peals it by pulling the skin down with a small knife, it goes off quite easily
