- OH-58D Kiowa Warrior - Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter
The Armed OH-58D Kiowa Warrior, in service with the US Army, is supplied by Bell Helicopter Textron of Fort Worth, Texas. Around 375 Kiowas are in service and the single engine, double-bladed armed reconnaissance helicopter has been deployed in support of United States armed forces around the world including Haiti, Somalia and the Gulf of Arabia (Desert Storm and Desert Shield).
In 2002, Kiowas were deployed as part of Nato's SFOR forces in Bosnia and, in 2003, 120 Kiowas were deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. 29 helicopters were lost during that operation. The US Army Kiowa fleet achieved a total of 750,000 combat hours until the end of 2011.

The Oh-58 Kiowa is a beautiful helicopter, I want it to remain operational for many more decades, and never need to be replaced from the bell 360.

Also it's maley. I mean masculine. Especially with the D/Kiowa Warrior version. Very hardened! With that black color (would be much extreme if it has matte)
My love of this helicopter is like how i have soft spot for propeller driven attack aircraft the likes of SuperTucano and Texanii. Same with how i feel more for Japanese tuners when it come to sport car than European high-ends(i once drive three types of tuner when i was a teen. r32gtst and r3325t and lastly cefiro). Maybe i like modded things than factoried/OEM powered things?? That may be the case here
I am curious about the engine performance of the OH 58D in sand conditions like Afghanistan. How often are engine flushes performed, in flight hours, 25? or more often?
When required. You didn't do a lot of engine flushes for sand, but some for rocket fire.

τα 36 Kiowa Warrior θα αποκτηθούν από τον ΕΣ με πλήρη διαμόρφωση συστημάτων και οπλισμού και θα γίνουν άμεσα επιχειρησιακά με την αρχική επιχειρησιακή ικανότητα (IOC: Initial Operational Capability) να επιτυγχάνεται εντός του 2019.
Άλλα 24 έχουν απλούστερη διαμόρφωση με έναν αντί για τρεις ασυρμάτους και θα χρησιμοποιηθούν για την εκπαίδευση πληρωμάτων και τα υπόλοιπα 10 θα εξυπηρετήσουν για την υποστήριξη με ανταλλακτικά στον υπόλοιπό στόλο.
@@northers9683 συμφωνω ακριβως αυτα ακουσα και εγω ,απλα σιγα σιγα θα βαλουν χερι και στα εκπαιδευτικα οταν θα θελουν αναλωσιμα! Οντως δεν θα εχουμε παντως 70 ,αλλα 36 και τα αλλα θα εχουν αλλους ρολους ,οπως πολυ σωστα εγραψες !!
