How's this compare to Nikon B700 though. I'm torn between this camera and B700; I have to skip Nikon P1000 since it's pricey. I like 4K recording bridge camera with more megapixels photo capture and super zoom capability.
the best advantage of this camera that other cameras don't have is the f-stop stays at f2.8 when fully zoomed at 600mm. Also, the weather proof feature is another consideration. the sensor is small. the fz2500 is larger.
@@peterc11364 when I set to P mode I can't zoom in that close. Only with iA mode using digital zoom can I get a photo that close. What might I need to change?
hello, for everyone in the comment section, i got that camera too with the thought that i might make some nice cinematics in 4k but the problem i have is that when i try to shoot in 4k 24fps i get something like a "object lag" when i record, is like the objects in the frame are lagging, multiplying and then dissappear, when i shoot in AVCHD FHD 24fps i don't get that kind of problem, the sd card that i use is a Samsung Micro SDXC EVO Plus UHS-I U3 128GB, does anyone know a solution for that problem?
amazing shots for hand-held ! I am trying out an FZ82 with 7 day return. I was torn between FZ330 v FZ82, but am convinced that FZ 330 in 2019 is still the best budget choice, so will return and replace with the 330, which is now the same price due to the Panasonic cash-back. It may only have 12K pixels, but the key selling feature is undoubtedly f2.8 constant aperture to 600mm !
I was also torn between FZ82 and FZ300. The constant aperture combined with weather sealing made me to choose FZ300. According to tests it's also proved to be significantly better in low light conditions so I think it's a better allround choice.
neither of both are perfect. my big downside of the fz 82 was the fixed display and extreme shakiness and waving while filming in 4K after 700-800 mm. so it was sold and replaced by fz 300. that one kills the very slow autofocus, only 25x optical zoom and poor size 12mpixel photos. top zoom lever also is defect from factory and doesen't work properly. its a shame panasonic does not make an updated successors of both models, still waiting for them in 2023!
@@peterc11364 Ah. Thanks for that answer! I have the FZ70 which takes great moon shots. I got the FZ300 & could not get the tight zoom. Now I know what setting to use 👍
Did you use an additional zoom lense to shoot this? And also does it have image stabilization? I recently purchased a Nikon p900 but was dissappointed with its image stabilization when zooming :/
That’s great. For me the ultimate test for a camera is the moon zoom. Subscribed.
Thanks.
I just bought this camera for $90 in a pawn shop, its amazing!!
This was the video that sent me straight to B&H Photo to buy one of these bad boys. I love my camera. Thanks you!
hello, do you still recommend it? i am about to buy it hehe
Also want to know your opinion on it after 2 months
I just bought it in 2024 😊
But you used the iA setting for that, correct ? With 600mm (without iA) I doubt you could have gotten so close otherwise.
Definitely getting it now. Thanks.
Would this camera be good to record pranks from far away and is the battery life good ?
Has the lumix fz300 a 24 opticle zoom lense because i cant belive the you make these video with the fz300 😎
How does it work for high altitude plane spotting?
Magnifique
Wow!!!!

Oh that's amazing! That's better than a telescope! 1:33 Woo hoo! I need this camera.
Hey John, pretty good for a handheld shot. Will try again with the full moon on a tripod.
The moon on a tripod?? :D :D Thanks for the vid. I am searching like craze for the right bridge camera and this might be close to my #1 choice.
did you Just pick up and zoom?
yes, it was handheld.
Hello my friend, is this camera better than Nikon p900? Thank you

Do you think that this camera would serve to photograph wildlife?
I'm thinking of buying one but I'm not sure

can you really get that distance with 600mm
I just got this camera, what were your settings for this video?
sorry, it was P mode auto iso.
@@peterc11364 thanks as I tried this a year ago or so and gave up after getting just a glow glob..great to see my camera can get this ok...Laurie
@@LWJCarroll glad to hear that. Select different focusing such as the 49 points might help.

Hello. Did you try to record videos longer than 30 minutes? Is it possible somehow?
Never did. I think 30 min is the limit.
Good
Awesome! Did you use AF or MF?
It was on P mode with auto iso.

It's the built-in lens, no stabilization. With the Nikon P900, try to shoot without the digital zoom on a calm night.
I tried capturing the moon last night but it didn't zoom even close to what you showed here. Any idea what could have happened?
Turn on the izoom & digital zoom.
@@peterc11364 Thank you, what an awesome feature. Do you know anything about the extended optical zoom ?
do you mean an add-on lens? I am not sure, but some other CZcamsr such as Graham Houghton might have tested it.
@@peterc11364 Thanks, I'll search for it. No, it's not an add on. The manual mentions it as an "Extended Optical Zoom" that can go up to 48X

Quel réglage ?
Should I buy this camera or Sony fdr X3000? thanks!
One is an action cam. Another one is a real camera with 24 x zoom. Should have both.
Yeah but lets say that I only have money for one right now, which should I go for? Thanks!
Panasonic.

Un conseil, ne pas prendre la Lune au dessus d'un toit, cela génère plus de turbulence préjudiciable à la qualité d' image.
First optical, then digital …
