This is a great review! Im reading it now, up to volume 3, and I've really enjoyed the acoustic playlist you recommended. There's also this Japanese rock band called Yura Yura Teikoku that have a vibe that really meshes with goodnight punpun that I've been listening too.

One thing to note about these spines too is, you know how theres those comics/mangas collectors that have ocd or take displeasure (thankfully it doesnt bother me one bit) in 'Non-uniformed' Volume Spine Patterns such as the Logo changing or somehow the text being smaller than the next or prev volume.
Punpun doesnt have these imperfections! Viz Signature really ensured quality assurance in these aspects haha. Overall a great read too but imo too depressing for my tastes. Love Asano but def prefer his other works like: Solanin, Girl on the Shore, Downfall etc.
Definitely a high quality release! I also liked solanin and downfall, haven’t had a chance to read girl on the shore yet
Just ordered the first volume, gonna check it out later, hopefully if I like it ill buy the rest

Haven’t heard of go with the clouds north by northwest but I just got the first volume of 20th century boys!
Helloooo i have one question regarding the type and quality of paper, is it different;/better than an ordinary manga? in my case, my Ghost in the shell manga from 2017, the pages feel better (less dry when passing you hand) in comparison to my one punch man volume 1. I wonder if this punpun edition feels the same. I ask this because my Ghost in the shell is conserving itself better (not a single yello-ish page due ti humidity) than my OPM volume 1. Thx for responding :D
Hey, I haven’t personally felt the ghost in the shell manga but this paper definitely is higher quality than normal manga. It’s not glossy, western style comic book paper but it’s definitely higher quality than standard volumes
i can't find any hardcovers? :( i hate buying paperback manga lol it's annoying to read unless i break the spine. conflicted
Yeah some releases are only paperback. Great hardcover releases include Berserk, Vinland Saga, Fullmetal Alchemist, most Junji Ito and Jojo’s
