Lau needs to relax so he can heal 1000% , but im sure its really hard to sit still when love what you do !! Cant wait to see them again I still cant stop watching the 2 performances on World of Dance they were absolutely Brilliant !!!
Darlene, you are right! However, this is what happens to our legends. They overwork themselves even when they are in pain or need to rehabilitate. They leave us way too early because they become burned out (i.e. Prince, MJ, Whitney). The race is not given to the swift or the strong but to those who endureth until the end. Longevity is the key.
It's especially hard for Laurent to sit still, when he's surrounded by people who encourage him to be active, support him in being active, etc.
Les Twins clearly have people around them that don't give a damn about them and will be the first ones to leave in hard times.

*FOR THOSE CONCERNED ABOUT LAU AND HIS KNEE* (I had to pull this comment from a reply just so it can be seen by itself.) After occasionally watching them for about 4 years I finally became a Les Twins fan a month after this video was posted. At that time I only knew of the WOD injury and when I attended my 1st workshop 3 months later I called after Lau to take care of his knee. He retorted for me to tell him how to do that and I was stunned at his annoyance. When I got over my feelings I took his dilema into consideration: First of all he already knows what he needs to do for himself. HE is the one who has to wake up with his knee and deal with it. Second the big win on WOD was opening up bigger opportunities for Les Twins, he COULDN'T be still, this was a Now or Never moment for them to venture new avenues, so that means working instead of resting. Third, I asked myself 'Well what will I do if he cannot dance again, will I lose interest?' So when I saw him a month later after their City Dance event He came out, nursing his knee outside the stage door; I spoke to him as he was bent over. I told him that I saw how hard he had been working and warned that he was putting everything on the line BUT I still supported him anyway. He looked up at me in surprise and then he rushed up to me, grabbed my hand, crushed it to his chest and thanked me so graciously. He was really touched by my expression. He understood that I was supporting his personal choice and that I was gonna support it no matter the consequence. For the next few minutes he was so warm & open to me that Larry was trying to shush him because he felt that he was giving too much access lol. He was not aware of our exchange just a few moments prior. So maybe this will help explain why his friends are by his side seemingly watching him hurt himself and seemingly not being good friends. They ARE being good friends. Lau is a grown ass man who is doing what he feels he has to do and who doesn't need to seek their approval about how he handles his business. And they do well enough for themselves that they are not being hanger-ons, they are rocking for their boy. They are literally standing by his side. As real friends SHOULD do❤

Will someone tell me why the twins are deceiving us by calling Roy Evant their brother? Look him up. He's not their biological brother. Where is the brother they are hiding? Are the other men really rrlated to them? There are a lot of blanks in the twins' life story. Any amateur sleuths out there? Tell me how a 15 or 16 year old boy leaves home and goes to Italy to make money dancing in the street and survived. There's a more lucrative way for a cute fresh fish to survive don't you think?

I know I am with you. I love Laurent and Larry but please Lau what does it take for us to get through to him to sit down and recover COMPLETELY! I'm mad! Where's his family? Where's his doctor. I'm guessing that his family and his true friends can't get close enough to help him, because the leeches and hangers on are taking up all of the space and sucking all of the oxygen out of the room.
Also, leeches tend to say yes to everything, while the people who love you will actually say "no" occasionally. Laurent is likely turning to people who say yes. So, he desperately needs someone close to him to save him from this crap. This is unbelievable to me.
I'm sure that they need the money for their appearances and such. So, they feel pressure to do things, and they're encouraged by the leeches who so desperately want to be seen with them.
It isn't clear to me now whether Laurent has become completely self destructive or not and can't be saved. But, if people who love him don't want to be filled with regret when things go terribly wrong, they need to step up. So, most of this will likely fall on Larry and whatever he can do. Someone might need to explain to Larry that his brother is human and may not be here forever. He needs to think about what it would be like to be in the world without him and do what it takes to keep him here on this earth.
I told someone this week that Laurent is acting an awful lot like those famous people who all died at 27.

when music and movement is your life purpose, I imagine it's tortuous to sit still, especially when you're probably mentally creating and it's like you HAVE to make the transfer from an idea to reality or you lose the thought. At least that's how it feels for me as a writer so i imagine it's like that for most creatives.

He was dancing to the lyrics that's says "I think it was God that has made it this way" And he was referring to his knee as the lyrics was that's why he was rubbing his knee.He listens to us fans and he did a live video on his Instagram page showing love to us fans for supporting him.His brother and friends are always with him not just that they don't care but they sometimes distract him from thinking. The end result of Laurent continuing to destroy his body will likely be that those of us who love him will be unable to watch him anymore.
It's a lot like what happened with boxing. Boxing used to be thought of as a beautiful sport. Boxers were revered. Then, we saw what boxing does to the body and mind, and we are no longer able to watch it.
I know that I can't really watch him throw his crutch aside and get down on his knees and dance. I know that I can't stomach seeing his faux-friends cheer him on while he does it. Who does that? What kind of monster does that?
I loved it when one of Laurent's friends backed up Larry (in an old video) when Larry was trying to convince Laurent to calm down and go slow. I don't see that friend in videos very much. I assume that he was pushed aside by one or more of the leeches we see in this video.
I distrust every man in this video (except Larry), because they clearly do not give a damn about Laurent. A friend helps you to convalesce and get back on your feet. They loan you money to help through hard times, if money gets scarce while you recuperate. They cheer you up and provide distraction from the boredom of convalescence. That's what a friend is.
Laurent seems easy enough to love. Can't someone please step up and love him enough to help him...even save him from himself if necessary?

These vlog's always depress me, because it always looks like there are a bunch of people taking advantage of them and/or exploiting them for their own selfish purposes.

Those are some of their best friends. They love to travel with their best friends and bring their friends along on trips so they can have fun together. Plus, all three of those guys are successful DJ's and have their own careers. So they are not after the twins money or fame. They have been fiends for years.

I know that they're their best friends. To them, they're as close as family. I understand that. However, I'm old enough and wise enough to understand that everyone around you who you may think is your friend, who you may love like they're your family, will not have your best interest at heart.
There are people in this world who navigate their way through life by using other people, being there for the good times and being no where to be found in the tough times.
Even from this distance, it's clear to me that there are people around them that absolutely do not give a damn about them. If they did, they're actions would show it.
There is no doubt that Larry loves Laurent. There is no doubt that he'd do anything to protect him. The same isn't true for all of the other people seen in this video.
This is an important time in Laurent's life. This is one of those crossroads. People who love him will wish that they'd done more or said more.
Watching Laurent from this distance, over the years, it has always been clear to me that people around him view him as indestructible, although (from here) his vulnerability is a neon sign. He is not indestructible. He is fully human. People who love him understand that. I'm not saying that all of the friends around him are bad. I can think of one guy in particular who has, on numerous occasions, tried to convince Laurent to slow down and take it easy. There is, however, one guy that shows up over and over again who doesn't seem to be capable of helping Laurent make healthy decisions. As a matter of fact, he seems to be more of a devil in everyone's ear. He probably needs to go.
Enough of their life is caught on video now, that, in time, people will look back on him with disgust. It's there.
My parents were wise enough to raise us to understand that there were people out there that want to be your "good time" friend: i.e. someone who is only there for the good times. Those people can be fun to be around. They can make you feel good about yourself. But, your life is always better without them.
I would never support or encourage someone that I loved to destroy their body for something so temporary as what we see in this video.
You may have noticed that lots of people post things now that suggest that Laurent might not be long for this world. You might want to stop and figure out why that vibe is coming off. I actually took the time to look up information on another set of twins recently, because my concern for Laurent was sparked. They were very famous. One of them died in his 20s, and the other has had to try to live in the world without his twin for many years. They were mirror twins. They were in the same profession. They were physically beautiful and talented.
Laurent needs to understand that there is a life for him after competitive dancing. If he doesn't completely destroy his knee, there's always teaching. There's always acting, which he would be absolutely amazing at. There would always be potential for a music career. On a good day, he's still be able to dance and perform in exhibitions with his brother. People around him need to be convincing him of that. He's in his 20s, and the future will be hard for him to see.
Fair-weather friends are called that for a reason.
I forgive the people who encourage the destruction of Laurent's body and his life about as much as I forgive the doctor-feel-good who killed Michael Jackson. If you care about someone, sometimes the answer is "no".

He needs to remember that he is human. Larry knows it and recognizes he is not indestructible and each time he has had an injury, you barely hear anything about it and he lets his body heal. Lau on the other hand hasn't let himself accept that he is human. And therefore he thinks he is invincible and he keeps pushing his knee too far. You're right, it's a turning point for him.
I know Larry will have his back. Larry has always been the more protective one, always. Ive watched almost every video of them on CZcams. I realize that Larry is always protecting his bro, it's because, even though Laurent is the older twin and maybe more serious and professional, he is the weaker twin when it comes to physical confrontation and emotional stability. That's why we see Larry so protective in every way. I love that about him.
I don't think they should stop hanging out with their friends, but they also should be aware of the ones who are their REAL family/friends and aware of those who aren't. It's ok to jam out and everything, but when push comes to shove, they shouldn't expect anything from certain "friends".
I agree Laurent needs to rest. When I met him last in Philly, I told him he needed to rest, he said I know, I just can't. Yes you can danmit lol. I just pray that he heals soon.

Happy to see them with their friends but seriously, Lau needs to stay off that leg!!! I'm in Church lighting candles every week and having prayers said for him to recover but all the prayers in the world will not help him heal if he doesn't stay off his leg. I can only imagine how hard it is for him not to be moving. Having friends around to entertain and distract him is good to a point, but every time he gets up on that leg, it's upsetting to watch. Maybe Mama B. will talk to him and set him straight.

Laurent les twins Girl They are individually sucessful deejays that travel the world seperately at times. When they hang like this they are supporting eachother and occassionally they also are apart of the event or have a seperate event in that city or nearby.
