      Bullshit, the second double and the first single wont hold the tension of 2.5 t or more. After videos like this we have retards onboard, and fingerless european officers

    please refer to OCIMF mooring guidelines, it is comprehensive... di na po ginagamit un iba technique sa stopper un double na lang po, and should be held by the person monitoring at the same time if di kakayanin ng stopper to warn the team if something is going wrong. appreciate the effort po.

      Sir in mooring operation used double pag tug single lang kaya nakalagay sa title for mooring & tug line at yung iba naman bahala kana kung gamitin mo. Kung ano ang mas safety sa iyo Sir thanks sa cooment.

    I was 23 years a seaman and the stopper hitch I used 'always ' was very much like a rolling hitch but with a loose end which is held in the hand, long enough to be well away from the mooring rope. I never used a double stopper I would just use a thicker rope. If you take care and do this properly there will never be an accident

    • @henryyoldiorg.kalubidvlogs3764
      @henryyoldiorg.kalubidvlogs3764  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Using two stopper is well than single, look at the first example. Single rope stopper is not not good to used for loose ropes, that is only good used for tug boat.

      @@aa-kv2pq sorry I don't mean to be insulting, it's just a surprise to see people using this old technique. Although I do recognise it very useful to know, incase of emergency. But after using the GroundGrab you would never use a stopper rope again 👍

      @@littleboatcaptain6962 don't get me wrong I genuinely like the idea and you've obviously done a lot of work on it and deserve congratulations on it and I hope it works for you, but I personally don't see it for big vessels such as merchant vessels and tugs. And stoppers are not really particularly dangerous I did actually lose three fingers on my left hand during a mooring operation on a 12k dwt oil tanker during a dry dock mooring op beleive it or not but not through a issue with stoppers mind. So I commend anyone who trys to make mooring ops safer. For the yacht industry / small boats though I think this is great 👍

      Trust me, we Filipino sailors are far more skilled deck hands than any other countries in the world. Period. If you type anything about deck seamanship on CZcams , you will most likely be shown or taught by Filipino sailors. Enough said.
