Funny thing that in Arabic, they used to use 'Majzara' the same way to refer to a place where animals are slaughtered and their meat is prepared for sale or consumption, but also refer to wanton killings (ie spilling of blood en mass) so in the Middle East they use 'Malhama' to refer to a butcher's shop (the same word is also used for epic/saga like Epic of Gilgamesh, so in arabic would be 'Malhamat Gilgamish').
