- Hand crafted for years of service, this split takes very little effort, no gas or electricity, and is much faster than hydraulic splitters. It still needs a good paint job and a few minor adjustments but it is ready for work.
Need a little round cage to hold the wood still so you don’t have to do it by hand. Other than that, super cool! Well done! Cheers from Texas
Thanks for the tip!
I think the movements involved in this method would actually lead to more strain on the back. Look at the position he has to take to finish the log
Just needs a different handle though, not really a monumental change.
I still have this, 10 years later. I prefer it over a splitting maul. If you check out my channel, we have a hydraulic log splitter too.
Get a fiskars x27. This thing is ridiculous
This looks like a machine they’d use in strong man contests just without any weights put on it lol
it doesn't take nearly that much effort! thanks for watching.
Cool
Thanks
tjis is tooo good. Im making this
I made this one almost a decade ago. Still works, and hasn't cost 1¢ to operate.
Price of steel stock is pretty high currently tho. Unless you recycled it, it costs something to make. Seems to work ok on this wood.
I want to make one you want to takea little better picture of it so I can get the idea a little better Good job
Can't drop photos in comments. I'm not sure how to get them to you. I'll make another short and you can find it here on my channel in a few days.

How mach rupees in Indian rupees macina
I built this out of salvage iron, no cost to me.
Looks but a little scary
Yeah, it seems so, but I feel it is much safer than other kinetic log splitters. Almost 10 years strong without injury.
