Amazing place, nice decorating inside, not too gaudy. Still could use a little more color, the all white walls don't do it for me personally. Still a beautiful estate.

I hear you there William, the pure white reminds me of rental properties. I know they are trying to sell this place so crazy colors are probably out so the new owner can customize the paint scheme. They could contrast some of the white with off white earth tones. I'm no interior decorator, but I know what I don't like and the all white seems so sterile.

The woodwork and prominent colors offset it very nicely though for it being mainly white. At least with white you can change it to anything without major redesign and work.
Good points Sky, I do like the millwork through out the house and the club room and theater are both very bold statements done exceptionally well. Yes, it is easy to add some color contrasts with white without corrupting what they were going for here.

It is a beautiful mansion no doubt, but I am here to tell you it is entirely to big for me. 50 thousand square feet? Can you imagine the light bill? The cost for the up keep? I think I would pass on this mansion even if I could afford it. 10/10/2021

Kudos to Adnan Khashoggi on a gorgeous place impeccably decorated. If you know the man you know he no doubt spent years scouring the Earth to get what he wanted to make it look as great as it does.
But in the parting shots the home looks empty. If this is true, it means the new owner will have to repeat what the previous owner already did at a great expense of time and money.
Who wants to spend years of their life and millions of dollars curating the perfect environment when they could’ve just moved in?
At this level everybody already owns a home or two and has gone through the decorating experience at least a few times.
Just decorate it nice, not with cheap/staging furniture to increase profits and leave the books and linens, I’ll bring my own toothbrush.

It blows my mind that some people have enough wealth to build something like this on a whim only to sell it a few years later and move on to the next absurd venture. I have no problem with individuals building wealth, but there is a level at which it becomes harmful to society overall. This kind of whimsical opulence demonstrates that some people in the world have accumulated way too much wealth. Inequality is a massive problem in the world because of the kinds of government and financial systems that allow people to amass so much while other had working people can barely survive. Any system that facilitates such a large gap between the top and bottom is not sustainable and will eventually fail. That includes countries like the USA, Saudi Arabia, and many others that maintain systems that allow such inequality.

🤔 One thing I noticed about all these mega houses is that many don’t seem to have fruit and veggie gardens. I always see swimming pools, spas, basketball courts, theaters,etc. but no place to grow fresh, healthy, unsteroidal food. That says a lot about a lot of people’s priorities. 😐
