  • Jeffries Construction teamed up with TH Logging to install this bridge on Siouxon Creek in SW Washington. TH used their Summit Yarder/Tether Combo Machine and their Summit Mobile Tail Hold to run a skyline across the span and support one end of each bridge section. Scott Jeffries guided the opposite end of the sections using a Link Belt 460 Excavator. To fly and set both of these bridge sections took approximately 1 hour.
Summit's innovative technologies combined with Jeffries Construction and TH Logging's willingness to think outside the box, allowed the bridge sections to be set safely while eliminating astronomical costs associated with bringing in a crane to this remote location.

That is just simply cool forest road bridge work without a crane right there!

I have set rail car bridges in place with my shovel before but that’s just some impressive work right there with some good operators. You guys did a great job, stay safe.

That looked like a pretty ingenious way to get a bridge set. Not necessarily the way I would do it. But hey, I have access to cranes. 😂. Nevertheless, it's done, and it looks like it all went well. 🏗
