Something a lot of chess fans also seems to forget a lot is that a lot of top chess GM with similar age tend to know each others from they were kids, for example Magnus know Ian Nepomniatchi and David Howell since they met at Junior Chess Championship.
Yeah that’s why many don’t like Hikky. He seemed mellowed out the couple past year, but when I hear stories on how he behave when he was junior, everyone seemed to have their Hikaru moments.

I think Hikaru used to be intimidated by Magnus and he would often not play his best against him. But now that Hikaru has had so much success streaming, its really taken the pressure off and he’s been playing more up to his ability

The only thing that I have noticed is that Hikaru's opening has become weaker, his middle game is awesome as it's ending. But his opening has become worse, I think that's probably one of the main differences between this too. And but since he shook of pressure, I think they're quite a drawn in middle game, and Magnus is slightly better at endings.

I honestly think people kinda underrate fabiano, he had the third highest peak rating in chess and is the closest anyone has come to magnus in a long time

He said Fabi because he felt like that would be the only world championship match where he was beaten by someone better than him rather than him just underperforming and getting beaten by someone worse. It is. Pretty much in highest paid tournaments there are always the same 20 people. And they won't play lower rated tournaments which they would lose a ton of rating for a loss. Keep in mind that a 2400 player would beat a super GM if given a superior position, they are good. If you have a bad day and lose against a fellow Super GM, it's ok, happens. If you lose against 2400 that's bad.
