In todays episode we continue our journey aboard Virgin Voyages The Scarlet Lady! We start our day with a fantastic breakfast at 'The Wake' restaurant. We disembark the ship and head into Cozumel port then make our way by catamaran (ferry) to Playa Del Carmen. We share with you a top tip we learned on this day!
In the next vlog we continue our evening. We have dinner at Dazzle dazzle and attend the very competitive and lucrative 'Drag Bingo!'

Cozumel has good beach clubs you can get a day pass at. In 2019 we paid 350 for 8 ppl to ride jeeps, party on a catamaran out to a good reef wiyh the clearest water, snorkel lazily with the current pushing us along, lunch at this cute restaurant with swings at the bar and do a tequila tasting. Next time I want to see some cenotes and ruins. Cozumel is super cool but the beach isn’t as easy access as Playa del Carmen
Senior Frogs is still there. lol I went there when I was a young whipper snapper. We used to go to Mexico a lot years ago. Jump on a plane and then make your own arrangements. It was a lot of fun. You need to be very aware when in Mexico. You likely paid for a two way ticket and only got one way. They pocket cash on inexperienced tourists. We tried to get accommodation out of and away from the tourist traps. The real Mexico is so much different. There are some lovely places to see and experience.

Made 2 trips to cancun back in the day and to playa del carmen -this was the first time in early 80s when the yucatan was a sleepy but beautiful little part of the Caribbean and then 3 years later tourists had discovered and quality fell off because the locals were overwhelmed (also picked up giardia which took me 3 weeks to get rid of). The beaches are talcum powder tho. Back then you could get woven products and Mexican artifacts. Mayan ruins like chichen itza and tulum are near as well if you had the time. Great area. Hope you enjoyed it!

Your videos are so informative. I watch a lot of Scarlet Lady vlog videos and they seem to focus on "look at my outfit", "look how much fun I'm having." Every time I watch your videos I learn a lot of valuable info that will make me feel so much prepared.

We used to go to Cozumel to dive, but I don’t have any desire to go back. Not much to do unless you are diving and staying at an all inclusive. Good idea to go to Playa del Carmen. As always, enjoyed the video guys! 🦩🐬🌴🧉
