@@AndreSchaier Advice on setting gate parameters would help. I'm also trying to get PAFL through my control room monitors (not just the headphones) but I'm not sure that's possible. Thanks!
gating a drum set with mics for overhead, snare, kick and two toms, for example. Also dynamic EQ using a triggered sidechain.

What is the equivalent effect to “Room Reverb”?
Chamber small is the reverb for Jayz Rhianna- Umbrella
I do like arena on drums!
Any suggestions for a reverb for vocals?

well that really depends on the genre. On Ballads I like arena 1. As a general Verb I often go to the EMT250, but I also like rooms or plates on the vocal. It´s really hard for me to pick one, without hearing the context. However, I find using the EQ in the effects is often the key for a great reverbsound. For more ambience you can send delay return into a reverb.

I´ve just taken a preproduced drumloop and some vst single drums that come free with my DAW of choice (Logic Pro) to show the reverb. Really nothing special. I don´t even remember the name of the drumloop. I´m pretty shure, almost every DAW comes with free loops...
