Very helpful for those who are determined to seek God and let Him live in them! Crucify the desires of the flesh and let him Speak to you.

Past tense. When we are saved we 👉🏻have crucified 👈🏻the flesh.

You have a choice. God doesn't force you to crucify your flesh. If you read Romans 8:5-9 you see that we have an old nature (flesh) and a new nature (His Spirit). We can still go back to the old nature, but God calls us to crucify our flesh/old nature and live according to the Spirit. If you choose to still live according to your old nature, Romans 8:6 says that the result will be death. Galatians 6:7-9 says that you reap what you sow. If you sow to the flesh or the old nature you will reap corruption. If you sow to the Spirit you will reap everlasting life. You have a choice of life or death (Deuteronomy 30:19). This isn't a once in a lifetime decision. You have to choose life each and every day!

@@AimchurchWH yes I definitely agree about the two natures. Our choice is to either walk in the spirit or walk in the flesh.
We that have the spirit of God are “ in the Spirit”
Crucifying the flesh is nothing that we do. That is something that has been done for us. It means sin doesn’t have To have dominion over us.
I think we agree on a lot, however I don’t think walking in the spirit is the same thing as crucifying the flesh. Our flesh is already crucified. Past tense.
“I 👉🏻am crucified 👈🏻with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
      ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“And they that are Christ's 👉🏻have crucified👈🏻 the flesh with the affections and lusts.”
      ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJv
I agree that we should choose to walk in the spirit every single day. But not to keep our self saved, but because it’s a reasonable service.
Other than The disagreement on who crucifies your flesh, I agree🕊 prace

I hear what you are saying, probably just a difference in wording. You can look at 1 Corinthians 9:27 where Paul says that he disciplines his body. Jesus said in Luke 9:23 “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me." This is something that we must do daily. We consider denying yourself - denying your flesh or crucifying your flesh. Same with disciplining your body, when I discipline myself to not go back for another piece of cake, I am making a decision to not give in to the lusts of the flesh. I am instead crucifying them. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." We take this as "is in Christ" is a present tense that we have to choose to walk in each and every day. The things I desired before I came to Christ may still be there, they don't just go away when we get saved. We have to crucify those desires every day and continue in His Word until those things are no longer desires any longer. The enemy tries to come in through the lusts of our flesh. 1 John 2:16 says "For all that is in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the Father but is of the world. " If we do not crucify our flesh we will fall into the enemy's traps and miss God's plan for our lives. Love you and pray that God will continue to reveal His plan to us.
