The two-dollar bill has a short series to collect. A type collection of each small size notes issued since 1928 would consist of one note of each of the following series:
Red Seal
1928 to 1928-G
1953 to 1953-C
1963 to 1963-A
This is simply the best hobby in the world! Anyone can get into it without major investments of either time or money. Ironic huh? Collecting money can be low cost.

Thanx for the info. l also collect and enjoy seeing what l can obtain in my job as a gas kiosk station employee and years ago l acquired at a closing pawn shop here in San Jose, CA three mint crisp red seal star $2 dollar notes in consecutive order series 1963 and also a 1928 $2 dollar bill which was circulated but intact for "face value" at a Walgreens here also

For the 1928 B to be worth 20k it has to be a STAR NOTE in uncirculated condition. Same as the 1928 E must be a * note. a regular 1928 B in uncirculated condition graded is worth around 1k a 1928 E $150.00

I have one 1928G red seal note (no tears but had a lot of wear) and one 1963 red seal in almost pristine condition. Not worth much but they look good in my collection.
Question about the star symbol itself. I have a red seal $2, serial number *02907140A, 1953 Series B. The physical Star is not solid red like in the pictures, there is a circle in the middle of it. Is that unique in any way or just how they were made for that time?
How about a dollar bill shown an planchette error,,,,a Red Seal is shown under the Black Official Seal ,,,,the Red Seal shouldn't be appeared in the the dollar bill on ,,,please advise me ,,,,where can l have it graded

I have 2 1953 $2 red seals. I'm new at this. What do I need to look for. I don't understand the A, B, and C thing. What does that mean.
The series date with a year then the same year with an A, B, C, etc. means that when a new president comes into office and/or there is a "new" secretary of the Treasury and/or a new Treasurer of the United States as by the printed signatures if the two latters change or a new president takes office the Year series stays the same but a capital A is added then if the same president has a change say in the Secretary of the Treasury and "A" is added below it next to the print run year if like a president "expires" while in office and the vice-president becomes president the year remains the same and say not he note and is a "series A" then the mint will change the new notes to the "series year" stays the same but now a "B" is to replace the "A"

Hi, I have a circulated 1953 red inked star two dollar bill with the serial numbers as *01117293A ….. since it has repeated numbers in a row, would it be worth more?
I wouldn't say due to the serial number really but any decent condition red seal note can get a premium over face value. Especially to the right collector
I have a 53’ B Star Red note and a 53’ C Star Red note. On EBay it looks like they sell for the same price without the Star so I don’t understand what the big deal is about them? I also have 9x 63’ Red Seals

I have a 1953 red seal $2 bill with Hawaii stamped on both ends by serial number. Hawaii is vertical.
On that $2 red seal it isn't a star note .

Getting them graded maximizes value I think. You can reference online auction sales to compare conditon and value to yours
Its about my life like the west A regular quarter from the 1700s or 1800s a dime from 1700s Like the dollar but 5$ bills a thousand dollar bill like red paper and a special ufo or heaven or nsm buffalo nickle 1927 4 or 5 2$ bills only!!

Uhmmmmm during corona and covid in 2020 no one was l believe "out of" toilet paper they were just buying and hoarding the Hell out of it
