This video is the truth. I got my Goyard tote 10 years ago when a lot of people wasn't buying the brand. This bag is a coated cotton just like LV Neverfull bag. I had my neverfull bag since 2012 and my goyard tote since 2013. My neverfull held up and it's still my favorite tote for work. After a year, (not even wearing it much), the leather strap on my Goyard started to tear on both sides. I was able take it back to the store and they repaired it for free but if it happens again, I will have to pay. I will not buy from Goyard again. The staff at the store in Paris and the staff at the store in NYC are stuck up and racist. I never ordered from Dhgate but if I want another Goyard tote in a different color I will buy a fake because the quality of an original Goyard bag does not stand up to the daily wear..
what makes you think they are racist? maybe they just didn't like your or someone elses attitude or personality? just throwing ideas out as the term 'racist' has lost its meaning since so many people love to accuse others so readily.

When my friend told me she spend over $1000 on a bag that has no lining I was shocked!! I was never into luxury brand. But who would buy a bag with no lining, let alone spending over $1000 for it.
She told me it’s hand painted. But it doesn’t look unique. It’s like buying a lined notebook and spend over $100 for it because the lines are hand drawn.

For all the negative points you mention are all the reasons I like them: not whoring out to fashion whims, not expanding distribution or production, and not advertising or partnering with celebrities. Goyard is discreet albeit loud discreet.

It‘s difficult for the craftsmanship of the bags and this is why they are expensive. While looking at the brand, it’s fair to say that the price is not just based on materials. It’s really important for the people who created the bags getting paid equally to keep this industry going. But yes, this is an expensive luxury and common people will have a hard time investing money into these bags.
i love this bag but the prices aren't realistic.. and even the resell are twice as much than actually prices.

🤔I thought this video would be about Goyard Bags you have personally purchased. This video doesn’t show any appreciation for Goyard. And I’m not paid to defend Goyard, and respectfully to Hermes when it comes to preference of materials it is a personal choice. Not many people are Fans of Tanned leather bags, Fact is those bags are heavier. And when you are in the Market for Luggage a Hermes Birkin Bag is not the 1st choice for Practical reasons. Goyard is light weight but it has a custom bag service if you want a Full leather bag or a variety of Options to choose from if you want something heavier. Lastly Hermes is not famous for its Canvas or print like Goyard is. So it doesn’t make sense to compare the 2. It’s obvious Hermes is known for its leather goods and accessories, none of which are more accessible so it doesn’t make sense to complain about the price. If you are shopping for a Birkin you already know what you want from Hermes this issue is we click on the video to see what you want from Goyard. We click to see the options that Goyard has available because the menu is not well known. Many Goyard models are discontinued and we want to see them. So we click to hear some appreciation the criticism is only welcomed if you are talking about a Goyard bag you personally purchased and are dissatisfied with.

I have one kislux bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...

Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.
Tanner Leatherstein dissected the Anjou bag on his YT channel. His verdict is the quality of materials and craftsmanship was high, but he doesn't think it's worth it. However, only you can detertime if the bag is worth it as each person has a different financial situation. I've done a lot of research and I've decided to get my wife the Anjou GM bag because of the relative large amount of leather used and that you can get two looks out of it because it's reversible.

I can tell the difference between authentic and inauthentic Goyard totes. If you own the real deal, it’s quite obvious…usually the leather trim gives it away.

I generally agree with this video.
But on the flipside, even though it is just canvas made of cheap material - using high quality technique and adding resin to make it durable. You have to credit the company for making something which is what people want.
Status symbol? Really? so many brands have similar design, i don't think it is just a status symbol. They must have got something right to be sustainable as a company for so many years selling the same thing.
You sound like you do not know what you are saying. Know the craftsmanship and heritage and history then evaluate it afterwards. Probably touch one compared to the fake as well before saying no one can tell the difference. And luxury is not just defined as having the item that looks unique compared to others. If your view of luxury is always relative to what other have or seem to have, then the fakes will affect you, but if your perspective of luxury is the intrinsic value of an object, then maybe you can find value in it.
Also know how this is one of the only luxury companies that hasn't been eaten by a conglomerate. Their fashion and quality is consistent, historical and classic.

I’m seeing this brand all over SM now and that is why I came here to see what the reasoning is. Honestly, it reminds me of a cheap bag from Walmart. It’s also ugly. I’ll never buy it. It’s just the hype.
I loved the brand it when it wasn’t mainstream (early to late 2000). Now that most people can recognize the print, charm isn’t the same anymore:(
Awful. So many problems. Goyard has worked with department stores before. They were in Barneys' and NM and other retailers. Second, who wants dead animal skin? Some people prefer Coated Canvas. The Old GOYARD HEMP Canvas was superior compared to today's cotton canvas. I hope they return to Hemp and hand printing like before. The hand printing made a difference. Goyard did change. they no longer hand print nor do they use hemp. Do your research.
