We visited Patong Beach once in the morning but went back to hotel as beach was too much over crowded. but we came back after sunset. To our pleasure we found the beach to ourselves. The beach was beautiful with surf breaking in to white as if it was smiling to us. The lights from the tall buildings surrounding the lagoon seems to be watching us with happiness. The roar from the sea reminds us that our India was not far away, simply some hundred kilometers from Andaman Islands! Good videography.

I first visited Patong about 30 years ago, when it still had charm , only a few hotels and guest houses, nice little stalls along the beach front. Nice views of the beach which was pristine, not overly busy (even in high season) , Patong had the real holiday feel to it. I was a regular visitor to Patong for many years after my initial visit, my last being in 2010. After watching this video, it has saddened me that Patong has become like many other places in Thailand, over crowded with hotels, bars and restaurants, and the traffic is like downtown Bangkok, and how it has changed in such a short time. Unfortunately paridise spoilt . I was thinking of revisiting but I think not, rather remember the way it was.
It is very clean considering how many tourists there are there! We always enjoy the time we spend at Patong Beach and do of course visit the other beaches located on the island! Thanks for watching, commenting and liking :-D

I have been to Phuket island at least 100 times since I choose a holiday destination nearby home and only 2 hrs flight time. I travel to Phuket then to Bangkok and Pattaya at least twice a year.
Great video Maxi and Maro. I had been to Patong Beach many times in my life. First was 1996 and every years visit (1999,2000, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and the last was 2008) Mostly in summer season. I dont go there anymore coz I stay in my father's house in Thalang area and it is too far to drive there like 30 mins and back. My gf Nee and I went Phuket two years only in Thalang. This year going again in Thalang :)

staying in ahotel resort in near the beach road and soi bangla will get you around in quick time and much safer than in Karon or Kamala.Never trust too much the tuk tuk taxi drivers ...anything can happened at past midnight ?

Nice video. But i don't like Patong and will never stay there, too noisy because of the street. I have enough noise in my city, when i fly 12 hours ,i don't want to sit on the bech 10 meter away from a street. It's crazy! Not a good quality holiday for me. I don't understand why people like Patong so much when in Thailand are sooo much beautiful places with thai flair. Sorry but this is just my opinion. But i like how you filmed.

We have been to Pattaya once and that was not our favorite place! We prefer Phuket and also enjoy visiting Koh Samui!
