This band is thought of as a Ty Segall project because he's the highest profile member, but the songs are 2/3's Charlie's. He's the main architect of the songs, Ty's talked about this so many times. It's really unfortunate. Poor Charlie!

Charlie's riffs are sooo good!
All of the early Fuzz gigs are so raw! Ty looks simultaneosly in and out of his element. You can see the hesitation and he seems visibly self conscious sometimes but then he laughs and gets fired up and brings it back! This band is so legendary. I always knew we were going to get a third album eventually, but with 2020 being what it has been thus far it was the BEST news I have heard all year! Cheers to good music and great artists! PS Charlie don't get anough credit.

ty segall is quite literally a machine.
Never understood why Ty's drumming in most of his early albums are so "simple". You can clearly see here he can definitely hold his on behind the kit. I guess the more simple approach complementing the lo-fi garage sound. Either way these dudes are amazing musicians. Truly an inspiration to any musician.
I think it's just because he's had different drummers on his earlier albums, hence that simple sound, but I see what you mean.

I have played the Stork club. It’s crazy to see such a huge act in a tiny dive that can barely fit 40 people. The owner is such a sleaze. He double booked the joint with a comedy act and then kicked everyone out in between acts to try to charge everyone entrance fee a second time. After the show he took one of my band mates in the back broom closet/office and told him it costs money to keep the lights on. The plus side to playing there is they record you and give you a cd copy of the performance when you leave.

After hearing the album, I've always wondered how Charles Moothart does the tremolo effect in Hazemaze. just with the volume knob, really cool.> 17:14
Couldn't agree more, when I first heard that part I've always wondered how he does it. So I tried turning down the knob to 0 on my other pickup so after each strum I would switch between the pickup to re-create that kill switch sound!
I mean he's just turning the volume to zero and back up, it's not that hard, it's not really tremolo just going between 0/10 rhythmically with the knob

+DobrePytanie we recorded live sound with the zoom h4n and mixed it with a feed from the board, also recorded with the zoom.

I agree. People keep calling them "garage rock" (wtf?) but they're so obviously proto-metal/early metal/Sabbath-oriented. I vastly prefer them to Sabbath by the way.
I saw Ty play about a year ago and it was the most raw rock show I've ever seen. Felt like I was watching Sabbath.
