I thought about that but than I thought it might weaken the metal there, but it's totally possible it could work fine!
* Or else shim up the original bracket enough to gain the clearance necessary. Find some thick washers or make some out of aluminum, etc.
And sometimes in doing that you create a situation where the strap is touching the boat or another part of the trailer which creates a friction point.
Better options at a lower cost out there people !

A set of these Boatbuckle straps came on my 2175 Pro-V , I broke a strap and called the company to get a replacement, they said they don't sell them and you have to just buy another set. What B,S.!!
This company is based on pure greed! If you have to spend an additional $20 just for 2 nuts and 2 bolts, theres a serious fucking issue at hand.
