The guy who shouted out "hold yourself together Shaun" should have been thrown out. The crowd annoy me, they know ot a serious pressure situation for the players, & the arrogance some folk have is beyond belief to think they can shout out to the players. Who does that guy think he is to do that? Absolute moron. He should have been ejected.
Murphy has been in 3 finals since this and hasn't won any of them, although to be fair a prime Higgins and Selby are two of the toughest opponents you could have for a World Final. And Bingham was beating everyone that year including Trump, Ronnie. But Murphy's strike rate in finals overall is quite poor, I feel like he should of won a few more titles. Although hes still done well winning triple crown events.
Shaun definitely should have a few more ranking wins and at least one more world championship under his belt, he's got raw talent for days, but he's been so inconsistent, still one of the best to do it though
He's too inconsistent and mistake prone these days imo.

Remember when Pukka Pie sponsored the UK championship? 2009 I think. Imagine Murphy vs. S.Lee reached the final, bankrupt! As the winner won their bodyweight in pies. Think Ding won it that year, if I remember correctly.

A good player and deserves every respect for the career he has had so far but isn’t quite a winner in the same way as class of 92, Hendry, Davis, Selby or Higgins.
