Paul Potts' audition is still one of the highlights of *any* competition show anywhere. The glance Nigel and Simon exchange like, Oh my God. Not another? And then he just sings his heart out and you see their skepticism fade into surprise and then admiration as Paul's confidence grows. And you can only imagine that he's a guy who has endured his share of ridicule and bullying during his life when all he wanted was to sing and have an audience share in his joy and his gift.

Paul Potts ... amazing quality to his voice deserved a far better response from judges than what he got
Its classic nobody likes that shit we need some cool songs not that borin tubbish its not 1920
not a large amount of people are into opera or understand the dedication it takes to train their voice. They are use to no talent singers overpowered by musical instruments.
I love it when people realize that they have just made it. The look on their faces is priceless. They will never be the same and they know it.
So beautiful. Attraction is one of the best acts out there! Hands down!

I like them all. My favourite was always Ashley and Pudsey, a schoolgirl who got a puppy for her 11th birthday, formed a perfect bond, and trained him and danced and performed with him to flawless perfection, with great choreography. It was the most trusting partnership, so innocent and so magical while it lasted.
I do like Paul Potts humble expression on his face. Its refreshing to see this. Yes I understand some people come on with confidence and determination. But Paul's humble expression makes me happy that he won this competition and good to know he is still singing too.

What I love the most about Pudsey's performance is how much he is enjoying it. What better for a dog than an entire room of people cheering to tell him he is such a good boy?!

I didn't expect a voice like that to come out of Jai McDowall. It was so beautiful.
I've come to love watching Ant and Dec as much as these shows. They're one of the few comedians that can make me smile and laugh even on really painful days.

I'm very glad that BGT has more diversity in their winners. AGT has mostly singers who win when there is other talent out there who deserves to be recognized.
It’s only natural, singers can simply pick another song for their next performance so over the course of the competition they are never out of ideas

As a retired vet those Hungarians from 2013 were absolutely amazing!
I bleed for Ashleigh losing Pudsey to a rapid form of cancer, after they won the show. Their bond was so tight. She had to put him down and it must've gutted her. God bless this sweet young lady.
I really feel for her and poor little Pudsey. My precious little angel dog died from a rapid form of cancer too. The same as Pudsey, he was his normal self until the day before.
This breaks my heart.
I always felt that Jonathon & Charlotte should've won that year but I'm really sorry to hear this news. Our 11 year cat died from feline leukemia; it was hard on all of us.
She's bounced back and has trained a new dog.
We've lost 2 to cancer-you feel like you've lost your best friend-they define unconditional love.

These were back in the day where it was important to have talent to win. Sad stories that get you a golden buzzer are all it takes now.

1:The golden buzzers were not introduced until 2014 which is why it looks like no golden buzzer acts won
2:These are the first auditions, lots of people are saying these aren't good enough to win but trust me they got better
Still, no Golden Buzzer has won since its introduction in 2014.

Spelbound was awesome - the amount of trust the younger ones on top must have had in the base building team mates just left me speechless!!
Spelbound is the greatest act BGT has ever had on their stage. How many acts can say they give Olympic gold medal standard performances, every time they appear? Those kids had been practicing these moves in their sport (Acrobatic Gymnastics) for more than 10 years. That level of dedication is rarely seen outside of gymnastics competitions, and they wisely decided to move their sport onto the biggest stage in the world, for all to see. Pretty much everybody was seeing it here for the first time.
🐾 I just love the look on Simon's face when he sees a dog act that is awesome. The Flinstone song was perfect for this act. Well done Ashleigh and Pudsey🐕🐩🐶🐾
David adds a lot to the show. I like the show much more when he is a judge. He is GREAT!

Not only was Richard Jones a good magician but he presented himself really well. He wasn't proud or cocky but confident. A true born performer!
His presence and composure was the best part of the act. The actual magic part with the cards and the prediction is insanely easy, could be taught in two minutes. Unfortunately, all his acts were pretty simple, a shame he's the first and only magician to win BGT.

The gymnasts were absolutely outstanding! I know how much work and pain you have to put into it to get that good. I was a higher-level gymnast as a kid and so I know what I am talking about.

Britain does indeed have talent! Amazing group of talents, all of the acts are a joy and a pleasure to watch. But the act that touched my heart most was the Hungarian shadow dance troupe, I was near to tears, they're the most original act I've ever seen! lol z:xr

Brilliant dancer George, from my home town. Went on to have a starring role in the tv drama Waterloo Road. The Singing in the rain he did in the final was worth watching.

Diversity are still the leaders of dance, admittedly I stopped watching BGT about 2 years ago, but up until then I've never seen another group as creative and as sharp as Diversity.
All acts were brilliant but Attraction was the best for me!

I have watched the best of and the worst of...it seems that the humble ones actually have talent.
It's sad that since the advent of videos (MTV, etc.) a lot of homely/average looking people can't make it. Imagine country singers like Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, Minnie Pearl trying to make it today.
