  • Minoan Pottery is an extensive interview and pottery demonstration featuring the potter and historian Vassilis Politakis, filmed on the island of Crete. Mr. Politakis brings to life the history of the Minoan civilization while creating viable reproductions of their works of ceramic art.
    This documentary was filmed on location in the Greek Islands by Minotaur Global Media, based in Ukiah, Mendocino County, California and was produced and directed by Donald Brant, written and narrated by Daniel Stewart.

    love you work Vassilis . few potters use the ancient Techniques slips clay paints. let your slips setttle longer to find that illusive grey slip.

    Very interesting interview, but I wish the sound was better... had to turn the sound to highest loudness and still some sounds were swallowed by the music...

    Certainly the eruption must’ve disrupted Minoan civilization. But I don’t think there’s any way to say definitively, The eruption caused the collapse of Minoan civilization.
