I half expected Alteran to point a massive drill at shack irl.
This mod will be epic once they update the ship models/textures/effects to HD resolutions. Loved the death animations with the Akira saucer splitting up very cool!

How hilarious it would have been if in the Federation, Klingon or Romulan history records, there were battles lost just because someone warped into the wrong coordinates.
Seeing the Akira go boom at the end was glorious.
I would like to see a mod where it has all of the famous Sci Fi universe so we can have battle between the Empire and the Federation.

This was great. I never really liked Star Trek when I was a kid, yet now that I have binged through three of the tv shows on Netflixs I have an appreciation for it. To me the Federation does have the best looking ships, but the Klingons are my fave faction.

Klingon Nerd Fact: "mev" is the Klingon word for "stop." In Star Trek Armada 2, this sound byte was associated the stop button, so when you hit it, it was literally the Klingon captain saying "Stop?!"
I feel that the Terran Empire is my favorite race in all of Star Trek.

Change the title to Terran Empire. Saying Evils Feds brings up a totally different image.

There's Star Ruler, that's also has 3D Movement just like homeworld though much more bigger.
For an even older game, check out Submarine Titan. Not a space sci-fi RTS but it still has the z-axis movement that actually affects gameplay since you can use it to dodge attacks.

Phoenix Interactive has three mods for Homeworld 2 Mass Effect Reborn, Battlestar Galactica: Fleet Commander and Stargate Space Conflict. The classics are coming out on the steam workshop this week.

Ah, a nice mod and gread space battles! But...actually after seeing all the TNG stuff in armada 3, I'd looove to see you guys doing some battles in the TOS era, or maybe TMP! The mod has sooo much content that could be shown there!

A Stargate mod wouldn't be too hard. Each race has a distinctive style for their ships, so a creative person wouldn't have too hard of a time coming up with new designs to fill any holes in the roster. There's already a bunch of Tauri ship designs out there, although I don't think they're considered canon. They do look cool though, personally I love the BC-309 Paladin Class and the K-308 Protector Class.

Shack, how do you change the resolution on HW2 Classic without the accept button being out of reach of the mouse?
Can't get back to the main menu once I change the res and even if I force close the game and restart it, I can't start a skirmish due to the accept button being out of reach.

This mod is at the top of the large list of mods that were a selling point for me for HWRM and big surprise half of them dont work.
this mod does not work on steam. the only fix is an amd one that no longer is possible due to the new way amd installs and updates it's drivers.

in this mod, the max ammount og harvesters per point is 4, anymore and there will be delays and ships doing nothing. But the economy is so good if you know how to make it work.
Damjan Medur and FTL is so nice in this. It doesn't cost you a bagillion credits to warp a patrol fleet. And its fast, great mobility! for battlefield advantage. With a little micromanaging you can make it so that you never lose a ship, as soon as its health drops warp to docks!
Damjan Medur The only problem is that the AI doesn't know how to use it properly. Which is why I am looking for human opponents. :P

hey shack, would you be willing to do a spotlight on this game called star ruler 2? its a massive 4x that you fight massive flet maneuvers and build an empire in. It fully releases on march 27 from early access and will include megaconstructs, like dyson sphere or artificial planets and such, if your interested
cant wait for battlestar galactica in HD with all the flak and fighters going against a fighter screen of raiders and a basestar (or 3)
maybe even change the AI's combat movement pre-sets to support the lore.. like rolling to face topside for defensive and use the flack and circling and using the front/side weapons for attacking?
for other mods a minelayer AI would be nice to auto place mines in 3d space like a wall or sphere of some sort.

Now they must recreate this mod in homeworld remastered.
