It's strange, but I've loved Edinburgh since I was a child. It's like I've known it forever. It's beautiful, cold, emotional, historic. I feel like I've been living there forever.
I feel the same... I love it because I feel like I was from there in a past life or something. It feels like home... a home from a long time ago.

Half Scottish half Irish I'd like to visit and see where my ancestors lived, I remember as a boy in early 60's my older relatives spoke with such an accent I couldn't understand much of it, I'd ask my mother later, what did they say,lol.

I used to work in Edinburgh and did for years. I still catch my breath sometimes by how old, gothic and beautiful it is ( mostly lol) It's got like a poetic magical charm to it. It's maybe cos there's another city below your feet and it's built on auld (extinct) volcanoes🏴

@@michael-dy8tz Yep. There's a creepy medieval town beneath our feet in the old town. I recommend a tour of Mary King's Close if you're ever here, but beware of the haunted Vaults!
It's beautiful, but Paris is my favorite, so gorgeous! I love London too! There are so many beautiful cities in Europe! My grandfather is Scottish, so my husband and I will visit Scotland soon to see it; I don't know any of my relatives there. I love their culture, and you see it everywhere in America, too; for such a small country, they greatly influenced America. So has Ireland.
North Carolina has a heavy Scottish presence it’s beautiful. They even do their own highlander festival there too.
The Irish originally moved to Scotland…so they’re pretty much the same people. Similar accents.

The only memories I have of Edinburgh is the tiny room in the castle where Mary's Riccio got stabbed and several Princess Street pub crawls! On the other side of the world now, wished I could have one last pub crawl there.

I visit scotland and italy in march 22...both countries looks similar with stunning nature.. Even though swiss and ireland have beautiful landscape but i impress with scotish and italy❤
I .lived in Edinburgh from 2001 to 2007, it's in my top 10 best cities that i've seen but i don't put it in the top 5, it could be 6th or 7th. It's beautiful but a bit depressing at times, grey and rainy. I remember mostly rain and blustery wind in those days

Edinburg is a city you can spend a couple weeks in and enjoy. We were there three days, on tour, but not enough time. The shops, museums, history, restaurants are great, and the local entertainment is a lot of fun. Scottish people have a great sense of humor.

I was in Edinburgh back in 1971 during the Edinburgh Festival. I served in the US Navy on a destroyer and was lucky enough to pull liberty there during a North Atlantic cruise. One of the best places I went to during my service.
i lived here for a year for my studies and honestly wished i could stay here for good. edinburgh is just so beautiful.

I did my masters from Edinburgh Napier and returned back to India in 2018, but unfortunately I have left my heart there. I genuinely wish I get the chance to spend my rest of life in this city. Wonderful people, wonderful place.

It's a clean and quiet place...I would consider living here. I Loved it!
It rains a lot and is always super windy, the city is perfect for sightseeing (especially in the summer when it's sunny), but living here is totally another thing😂

Scotland is my favorite. Shout out to Isle of Skye Brewing IPA. Best IPA I've ever had. Another shout out to 'The Ship on the Shore' pub in Leith/Edinburgh. If you go to Edinburgh, get an air bnb in Leith. Friendly people with pubs and coffee shops everywhere.

This is the most beautiful video I have seen of my beloved city where I stayed for six year not long after the war WWII. During my time there from 1956 to. 1962, all these beautiful stone buildings were covered black with soot. Those years were my formative years as a young lad in this city of learning. They were not without heartaches, especially the memory of a treasure lost when the camera took me several times to the Waverly Station.
The one place i always wanted to see but unfortunately was never able too. It makes me sad. So much beauty and history.
