This was my first deck my husband bought for me. It probably wasn’t the best for a first lol but it was so cute. I ended up writing the keywords on them to learn but I’ve changed over to the tarot cards that come in the easy tarot set. Great review you pretty much said exactly what I said

I also have a thing about the separation of the cards. But I also put them in a specific thing. The “Kawaii Tarot” box is more for emotional things like love and friendship things while the other box is more for obstacles and serious challenges

So interesting seeing how much information they managed to convey in such minimalistic art are totally fascinating to me. I haven't yet gotten my first deck home. What I know are mostly general osmosis over the years with little to non exposure to the tarot community pardon my word choice but well it's the most inclusive phrase I could think of. And when we got to the minors I went that makes perfect sense for that card I can se the meaning here. I paused before the book to be able to just think from the cards while writing this. I find getting the exposure to so many different decks like this channel gives are an interesting way of seeing how many ways to give a seen and how many details of interpretations can be found in the differences and similarities whats the same and what can change to give the same core meaning.
I hade a similar feeling watching the mini tarot review. And I'm now really curious to see the depth of this guide book. My first thought are also probably a great deck if you like me can be overwhelmed buy some of the more visually stimulating decks. Gets lots of information from reading books. Still not seen the book part yet

You should definitely check out "Spirit Speak Apparition" tarot deck, in my opinion the illustrations are super simple yet have deep meaning into them

Yes, I must say that the candy 🍭 wands a bit, but my overall take away was it makes more sense than not. I find this deck cute. But I'm just at the moment a bystander, enjoying the reviews soaking up information while waiting for my steampunk deck to arrive.
When I saw the ram card I was so amused with it looking like Princess Leia! I thought it was the Empress and I was so amused! But then I noticed it was indeed the Emperor and got confused and it took me a while to see the ram's horns... Disappointing...
Also, why is the moon yellow? Yellow is warm and sunny. Confusing as well...
And the court cards... There is no apparent logic to the people. I got excited with the glasses on the Page of Spades, I thought they would all have glasses on because they are intellectual, but no... It is just random faces...
However, the pip cards are really good. They manage to convey the meaning using the space between the drawings!

The book is actually pretty decent for a beginner so it would work of you are a beginner.
An adorable friendly beginners deck would definitely have to be the Affirmators Tarot. I love it to bits. You should check it out.
The Chariot and the Wheel of Fortune are way too similar to me.

ive been trying to figure out why deck to get as a beginner and ive been just unsure with all these reviews saying the kawaii deck is good for beginners as well as others saying its not good for beginners. I believe the only thing I like about this is the fact that it does have the reversed... still unsure on a deck tho...probably not this one... I dont think this one is for me:(

Omg she's all about how bad the deck and the packaging is! I was drawn to this deck and came in after ordering it however this woman did put me off. Still love the deck 🧿❤️
This comment is going to come across as rude but I cannot lie to myself or anyone here. This is possibly my least favorite tarot deck I've ever seen... The illustrations (I cannot call whatever that is "art") are so lazy... I could do all of these in a total of 4 hours in ibis Paint which is a free drawing app... As an artist myself I understand the value art and an artists' time has no matter their style, but this is purely not any of that. There is no time and no care put in this deck whatsoever. The pricetag is not justified by any means, perhaps only if the cardstock and the storage box are great quality, excuse how forward I am but the art is worth close to none, and I'm saying this as someone's who's drawn my whole life. And I certainly would not use this deck even if it was offered to me for free, it would feel like I'm mocking my client. It's also funny how they specifically mentioned this is a great deck for starting your journey. No it's not... No pip deck is in my opinion but this particular deck is a new low.
This is not minimalist, it's minimal effort...
As someone who's very attached to the Temperance card it makes me even more upset the whole symbol representing it in its entirety is actually one that we naturally find in the Justice card. But my least favorite card in this deck is the Hanged Man. I cannot even begin to understand what was going on when they "thought" it out because again, this feels like they did little to no thought for, it's just... where is the Hanged Man in that card? At least the other Major Arcana had remote symbolism to at least sort of lead your mind to what they mean, but this?... No words.
As for the court cards? I understand and I admire the idea of bringing in androginity or even transgender identity to this deck, as well as removing the concept of race and breaking the stereotype but if you're foing to go there at least do it the right way... Almost none of the faces suit the energy or symbolism that is meant to be conveyed by the court cards themselves, this is not how you bring inclusivity to the table...
Edit: I forgot about the book. It does add to justifying the price tag. But my opinions about the deck itself remain unchanged.
