- Max Payne is a neo-noir third-person shooter video game that was developed by Remedy Entertainment and released on 23 July 2001. It debuted on multiple platforms, including Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. This game would also be made available to current-gen consoles such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S on their respective game-stores.
This gameplay was recorded on the PC version available on Steam, however it does require a fix-pack to be installed alongside it to get it working on modern hardware. Here's a link below with the instructions:

The game is graphically dated...but yet they still hold up! Same with the story and play control. I always come back to this one every couple of years. One of the best!
A good video on a classic, excited to see what you do next bro.
Great video! The Max Payne series is one of my most favourite games that I have come back to and replayed quite often over the years.
Thank you and glad you enjoyed. It's definitely a once a year playthrough for me, no doubt about it!
great review, thanks
Thanks for your review! ❤ It's always nice when people remember this game.
I remember trying to get a bootleg version to run on my old computer in the 2000s and it constantly crashing😢. But I was so entranced by the few moments that I got to play it before it crashed so it never fully left my mind. Finally played and completed the game on Nexus 7 when it came out on Android. Extremely memorable game.
Glad they had Max Payne return as Alex Casey in Alan Wake 2, haha!
I recently completed Max Payne for the first time ever at the age of 58. Back when this came out, I only played flight sims. I played it on a Pentium 4 system running Windows 98 - it worked perfectly at 1024x768.
If you liked Max Payne, then make sure you play it’s sequel Max Payne 2!
What a fun video ❤ Max Payne is such a gem
Keep it up
It was definitely fun putting it together, thanks for the kind words.
By the way, Max is not supposed to bullet dodge along the floor like that, it is a bug/programming oversight caused by running the game above 60fps
Interesting, I never really noticed the difference. Thanks for pointing it out.
in remake do you think they got James McCaffrey before his passing to do the voice work or have to replace him?
Hard to say. If they replace him then hopefully they do it in a respectful way!
hey brother how do I play MP1 on windows 11?
You’ll need to install a fix pack, here is a link with instructions. I hope it works for you. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1633394421
