    Dr. Frank B. Wilderson III is an American writer, dramatist, filmmaker and critic. He is a full professor of drama and African American studies at the University of California, Irvine.

    Excellent questions. I've seen confusion on the "function" or "why" of Afropessimism, but I appreciate the nuance of it far better after hearing him answer those questions.
