There are some really fantastic sewists here on CZcams they make it really easy to learn some of the lil details that make your work polished( keeping your seam allowance, how to add your lining with and without a seam, sort lil things like that to take your work to the next level. You can even get lessons at Joannn fabric stores..a one day Or weekend course. It's awesome to create your own things and share with others. Personally I believe to teach others its best to give them the correct tools. Id be saddened to think I taught someone something and it ended up costing them somehow..ie: making things to sell only to have product setting one a shelf. I sure hope those are a cpl helpful ideas. You lost me when you got out the glue gun. Lining is supposed to be sewn into the bag. There are proper fabric adhesives that should be used . A. Glue gun can damage fabric especially synthetics. However, sewing in a lining is the most professional method.

Sue Nuckles I'm with you on this. I just can't do glue. Why not just sew it. I like the pattern but not the idea or usage of glue.

I think the reason why she glued some of the fabric down and sewed it was to keep the fabric in place while she sews it down. The glue will also give extra support to areas that need it. Some fabric glues are very strong but will wear out over time.

Wouldn’t need so much glue if you sewed the lining in at the same time.
If you leave the zip til last, you can flip it all inside out through that opening, or is that outside in? - No matter - the lining is now inside sewn in and fixed without glue. Just finish up closing that opening up with the zip. Ta-da

What size paper did you start out with? At first glance I thought it was an 8.5x11 sheet, but not sure. I would prefer you use inches as measurements as I am not good with CM measurements. Or a better idea is to show both types of measurements so that all who view your patterns know which measurements suits their knowledge. The stripped bad is a beautiful bag, but like others I would prefer to sew the lining in while constructing the bag.

That first bag was ruined when you glued the lining. Why didn't you see it in? It would have been an easy hand stitch.

Doing such a good job on one only to finish up with hot glue? WHY?!?

The zipper does not bother me as much as the glue but i feel you
I love the binding on the outside around the zipper but can you please please make a tutorial where the lining is sewn in instead of glued.
