Don’t think you understood his point. He said stats aren’t everything because he has the 2nd highest tackles per 90 at Spurs, the stat people look at, yet what they don’t see is that he gets dribbled past a crazy amount of times. I think this guy meant that the popular stats are misleading

Allow me to make a spirited defense of Emerson. He was bought for a 4 at the back formation and not to play wingback, a completely different role so it does seem harsh to write him off as a bad player. His last 2 games have seen a marked improvement as well showing he is adapting better to this new role

Kasper been alright not bad not good, but he doesn’t come out for corners and when you defenders all end up injury’s and the rest can’t defend and head the ball to save your life you let a million corners in

As an Atleti fan I agree with it, although he’s been brilliant in the last half of the season, his form at the beginning and middle in every competition was woeful. Our defense lacked any bite or prowess and we were left with Oblak to clean up. His form just nosedived out of nowhere and it doesn’t make any sense.
Same thing happened to de gea at some point

@@gabrielyeargan6234 i agree. this season we’ve just been awful altogether. it isn’t all his fault bc our defense was just not it. Savic only played to fight w others. Gimenez was constantly injured and Felipe made few mistakes here n there but he’s the more stable CB we have atm. We’re a team known for our defense and this season we’ve completely damaged that reputation. but it’s nothing that can’t be fixed w a new defensive signing or two i reckon

.. because he played on the wings? He practically carried United on his own before Bruno showed up. Also double digits for G/A in all competitions for the past two seasons. It's almost people forget that the man was thrown into the fire when he was 17 and has been overplayed and saving United's ass ever since. Let him have one bad season for once. If he continues to be bad next season, then we can start calling him washed up

Before the game against Wolves, I would have not only picked Lukaku as part of the worst xi of the season but also the worst player and signing of the season. But to be fair, he has picked up form of late and it is a bit harsh to pick him over Mctominay and Martial.
The midfield is correct, but martial should be there over Lukaku

Nah, Martial had an awful 2020/21 as well as 2021/22, whereas this is more of a list of flops.

One of the greatest players the game has ever seen joins a dead league that offers no challenge whatsoever for a cushy payday and does absolutely nothing of note. That's exactly what happened there.
He joined for free had 17 goal contributions don't get me wrong it's a shit season for him but for most players it's far from a disaster
It is not just about goals and assists. What about the 70 chances he created.

As an Atleti fan it’s true. He was terrible this season and has only started to look like his former self recently. He was brilliant in the derby and a few other games recently but other than that he’s been absolutely horrific this season. Tbf our defense as a whole has been terrible so maybe that has a lot to do with it but Oblak deserves the spot as worst in Europe. Last year he was ranked number 1 in 7/10 categories for a GK in Europe and was easily the best itw last year. But this year he’s like 159th in Europe. Nosedive out of nowhere.

How Messi has escaped this is beyond me. Regardless of whether his underlying stats have been good or not, you can’t deny that his transfer to PSG has been a disappointment thus far.
He has been bad to his expectations but he still has 17 goal involvements which is not that bad

Lukaku is an overrated striker. While an unstoppable presence, his actual football skills are very poor. He has rarely impressed, and 95% of his goal contributions any striker would put away and that’s why they r attackers bc they have moments of brilliance on offense. After leaving Everton lukaku was an average starter premier league striker and now he’s worst

Marcus played endlessly for us while desperately needing surgery. We did this to him. He deserves another chance. Especially under a transformative manager
100% agree. Yes, he's been dreadful this season (I personally think the Ole sacking especially messed up his mentality), but I believe in giving him a chance next season with Ten Hag. People are too quick to forget how much he gave to the club in the preceding seasons. Mourinho specifically called him one of the most professional and hard workers multiple times, and clearly he was a favourite for Ole. He was one of our best players from 2018-2021. He literally sacrificed his body for us last season, playing with injuries and still scoring 20+ in all comps and getting many assists too. Its crazy call him lazy or unmotivated and group him with Lingard who actually is toxic for our dressing room. I think we should give him one more season to regain his past form.
Why does he deserve another chance? He hasn’t even tried all season and he’s downed tools he’s a disgrace. Sell the fraud!

Played last year through injuries, but still got double digits for goals and assists. Now he has his first bad season, and he is a fraud all of a sudden?

Emerson is a bit harsh imo. He isn't playing his natural position and has played under two managers this season. He hasn't been great but I don't think he's been a detriment to the team.
what's his natural position? all the spurs games i have watched he is either used as a rb or rwb so i dont know what other position you are talking about..!
@@yankiefrenz1367 He's used solely as a wing back under Conte and he’s much more of a fullback which Conte doesn't use. Those two positions ask for very different things, ESPECIALLY in a Conte system.

Lukaku is the scapegoat, easy target to blame. Pulisic and Mount should not start as they are not consistent. Havertz Lukaku Ziyech is most likely our best front 3. Gallagher will also be a great addition.

It’s because he’s at spurs it stands out more if your not playing great. I’m sure he’ll do better next season but this season he’s been very hit or miss tbh. Norwich have been mostly awful so there isn’t really a stand out which is why they wouldn’t put max Aaron’s

As an Everton fan I would have dcl on this list over lukaku, he has 5 less premier league goals this season, and he has back from injury for some time now, he just doesn't make the first 11. Most everton fans are happier to see Rondon come on than him

Leicester won’t have looking at Guehi at the time they got Vestergaard or even before they got him. Before the Fofana injury Leicester were looking at centre backs they could sign on loan (Kabak, Tah) and not looking to spend £15-20m on a centre back. Once Fofana got injured transfer plans had to change and Guehi was already at Palace.

Rashford has had a bad year, his confidence was clearly destroyed by the euros and the injury lay off, then coming back to fitness to fit into a complete disaster of a United team can't have made things any easier, not just on the pitch but all the problems off the pitch too. There's a toxic vibe around the man united dressing room, so going from being a national hero to an underperforming player at the arse end of every joke must be ruining any chance of making a proper comeback this year. I'm hoping that under ten Haag he hits the ground running in pre season, I think he'd make an excellent false 9 for an Ajax style tiki taka system, and he's done too much to bring the club positive media attention during a time where that's kind of rare for United to be allowed to leave this summer. We can sell Lingard, let Pogba walk, even sack Maguire if we need to, but for the love of all things red in Manchester we need to keep that lad in our team
