This is such a gorgeous lace stitch pattern. At first I thought it was garter stitch lace but more intricate, now I see that there is indeed purling involved LOL. Much prettier imo. Beautiful work, I'll definitely be purchasing the pattern for this.

I know that I'm pretty late on commenting on this video, but what tips do you have on washing knitted things? I'm always been so nervous to throw things I've spent so long knitting in the wash. Do you hand wash them? Do you dry it flat or put it in the dryer?

It all depends on the material! Some yarns can be washed and some cant. The things you usually have to worry about are stretching, shrinking or felting. Animal fibers like wool might shrink or felt in the wash. Synthetic or plant fibers like acrylic and cotton might stretch or lose elasticity. In either case, heat and agitation make the problem worse so always wash knits on gentle cycles or by hand with cold water. Laying flat to dry is always a safe bet but most non-animal fibers can go in the dryer on low heat. You can always wash your swatch before your project to see how the fabric responds. One last tip is that "superwash" is a treatment done on wool that allows it to be washed without felting 😊 good luck!

@@TheSnugglery Thank you so much! I don't know why I didn't think to prewash a gauge swatch
