POWER RANGER DUO PANEL - Awesome Con 2024

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers actors Walter E. Jones and David Yost gave a panel at Awesome Con 2024 to talk about the show, their experiences, and to answer fan questions.
Walter E. Jones portrayed Zack Taylor, the Black Ranger, on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, but has also appeared in Malibu Shores, House Party, The Order (short), Space Cases, The Shield, Moesha, and Prime Suspect. He also reprised his MMPR role in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always and Tommy: A Power Rangers Story.
David Yost is Billy Cranston / The Blue Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the movie, Power Rangers Zeo, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, Tommy: A Power Rangers Story, and Power Rangers Cosmic Fury. He is also developing a project as a reunion for the original Power Ranger actors called Power Rangers Quantum Continuum.

I remember the Blue ranger aka "Billy" (David Yost) was really my favorite when I was a kid. Even though a lot of kids wants to be red, for me I'm happy being the blue the small one but one of the strong one

Look, I know power rangers are inclusive and some of these actors have great memories but the fact that people still think that these guys remember them from one photo shoot 2 years ago or whatever is still crazy to me. These guys have live people. Yes.

Saban never appreciated the actors hard work. Saban just wanted to make himself rich than care about storylines, the actors the characters they portrayed.

He always treated actors as if they are expendable. Once the original 3 actors requested fair wage not just for themselves but for the entire cast and the people that work behind the scenes and him not agreeing to their terms, he realized not allowing actors to have control and changing the cast each season. I assume you know already. The loop hole he found by making it non-union very devious of him when shooting it in LA.
