Seth Meyers and his wife had a baby in the lobby of their NYC apartment building. The least Conan can do is allow deliveries in the podcast facilities upon request.
I envision the baby coming out with the top hat, like the Warner Brothers cartoon frog, dancing and wiggling his top hat, saying "Let the living begin!" LOL

I was hoping for an (Ignaz) Semmelweiss reference. The doctor who realized that med students were likely transferring germs from their previous patient to Mothers/Infants in the delivery theatre, as gloves weren't really a thing in 1847, nor was handwashing. He instituted handwashing w/ a chlorinated lime solution, which decreased maternal mortality at Vienna General Hospital's First Obstetrical Clinic from 18% to 2%. 🤰🏻👶🏻🤱🏻

I've been a fan of Conan since the beginning. The more off the rails his show was, the funnier it was. But now, these gems with Sona and Matt are priceless. People do water bath deliveries at home. How sterile is that environment?
Another question for Seth Meyers! His 3rd child, daughter Adelaide Ruth Meyers, was a planned home/water birth. Given their track record of getting to the hospital "on-time" being not so great, may have been the ideal choice for them.
Many factors need to be taken into consideration when making this decision: maternal age, discrepancy b/t pelvis & passenger size, maternal diabetes, prenatal & maternal diagnoses, congenital diseases, distance to closest appropriate facility (hospital w/ Obstetrics & Level III or IV NICU & time to travel there or obtain ALS transport, etc . . .

90% of the world prefer home birthing with midwives. Like the Netherlands. Also like all other animals. Sterile environment is not an issue. Clean is. And have a hospital around the corner…

Hmm, telling everyone you've never impregnated a female & been involved in the pregnancy. 🙄
They follow by weeks (ideally to 40-weeks, i.e. full term) & pregnancy is divided into 1st, 2nd, & 3rd trimester (there is an unofficial reference to the 4th trimester after the infant is born).
I guess it is true that people will do anything to be famous.
Humans on Earth didn't have sterile enviroment for millions of years... And we survived! Babies come to this world through unsterile place from time to time... I'm sure Rebecca is exception tho😁
Too bad they can't have the format like when he was in Miami with the small audience .

Seth Meyers has 3 kids, each w/ unique birthing stories.
1st Ashe Olsen: Alexi's water broke in their apartment & they had a wild Uber ride w/ her on hands & knees, screaming out the open window. Upon arrival, she was fully dilated to 10cm & quickly gave birth w/o pain meds.
2nd Axel Strahl: aka Lobby Baby, Seth did a whole stand-up show based on this in 2019.
3rd Adelaide Ruth: planned home/water birth that went smoothly.

@@dash-x They kept quiet about her birth for a bit (perhaps b/c it was uneventful?). They announced it on the Thanksgiving episode in 2021, when his kids traditionally dress up as turkeys. She was likely a smidge over 2-months when they filmed that (b/c born in September).
