A little tip to keep the tube from wrinkling and causing a flat tire later. is to use some talcum powder. a light coating all over the tube is sufficient.
and rim locks are a good addition to the grippier tires.

This is a great skill. Not many out there can do it in reality, you know in the bush.
I carry levers they, are essentially miniature car tyre levers. Yours like thin. Which ones are they?
I just got them at the bike shop , cheapest ones I saw

Very good .where do you get your air if you are in the bush.
Just a hand pump or some guys cary little cigarette lighter compressors
