at first, I thought all the parts were going to be the same with the same hand rotating it then they mixed it up a bit by using a belt system. amazing! Then they slowly sped it up and I was flabbergasted. it goes faster? (warning sarcasm above) i actually designed and printed a few months ago. it was addicting to spin around. now im making another mechanism that uses them.
It is a means of turning linear motion into step motion. In this case to create a rest in the cycle to allow the stroke of another mechanism. Time-stepped advance.
