- As you probably know I went to this place in Gurgaon called L1. They have a variety of liquor. Seeing prices like Rs 1000 for a bottle of Red Label, I did not have to think twice before buying it. It's 100 Percent genuine....I also loved it. Keep it over your glass for some seconds then it's poured smoothly.. kharaab nai hai . U don't know how to pour
It's not fake it's genuine at time the sealant that is placed to prevent counterfeit or adulteration of alcohol malfunction. It happened with me with oaksmith gold daro math

In mumbai it costs around 3000rs and the bottle is bit different from the one you have it looks dicy
its difficult to have adulteration in whiskies which are bottled in scotland, In india bottled scotch there can be difference due to water

This malfunction is common in red label. Smokiness is much more in black label.

If you feel it's Black label's cousin,you have hit the spot,it's taste is so unique,it will stay in your mouth, barudi nose hai,if you smell the bottle,Red Label mein Wood/Dry Fruit nahi ataa,it comes with Black& Double Black,it can also happen,they have used Black&White/Blackdog in it,did you find Honey/Citrus notes?
