this is a lesson from my Waila class. it is a video for all ages here is an explaination of how to play the c major scale from mid c on a push button accordion. Tohono O'odham Waila Music
You’re a god d*mn genius of a teacher (seriously good). As a lifelong guitarist with a good ear for music, piano and vocals came naturally…then I was given a button style Accordion. 😳🤷♂️ Thanks to you, we are getting an accordion into this RHCP style song I just started recording…in Am 🤠🪗🎸
Hi Damon. Thank you for putting together this video and uploading it. I am learning the diatonic accordion, and your video has helped me learn and practice something new. Can't wait to see more videos from you.
Thank you for doing this. So many youtubes skip the very slow and monotonous part of showing the fingering. They just assume you can figure out buttons, or do it at a speed where beginners are just guessing what just happened. For a guy like me, this is extremely helpful.
@@taco1896 i really pray for you. I’m talking about my brother who was also from the Tohono O’odham nation, this guy is from there and his loving spirit reminds me of my friend. And you feel like trolling and being negative. I feel really bad for you, I hope you are okay.
@@Zach-ls1if I was not trying to be negative I just did not see any context on what your friend had to do with this but now I do imma pray for you though
😎🤙🤙💀🎼🎶 i can still play all the waila music you teach me in class N letting you know i got my own accordion for my 15 birthday N as always im still play it🤙🤙
Great video Damon. Your video has help me a lot to see the beauty of the c scale of the accordion. I am however struggling to find a video or something on the left side of the accordion. I have the same accordion, but I would like to know the bass lines of the accordion with that model. Do you happen to have a video of you explaining that? It would help me a lot further to educate me on the accordion.
Either my F row is out of tune, or it is tuned to a different note. :/ Thanks for the amazing tutorial. You are amazing. I would take lessons from you, for sure.

Great to see things broken down clearly! Scales, then tunes - tunes are made out of scales. Good to teach parallel 3rds, too. Keep up the good work!

Damon, great video. Is there a reason you play the 3rd of every root note? Just to give it more flavor?
He’s the Dave Matthews of Accordion. 🤷♂️
It’s gotta be ‘best practice’ for diatonic accordion playing…
i had no idea what that little strap was for that came with the accordion, haha.
Do you give private lessons?
Cool where you located
Thanks I will try this where you located need more help
Will you be doing guitars also? Would love to watch those.
Yes i want to do guitar bass as well
You can make soun of silence 6 strings guitar?
What’s a good first accordion to buy Mr Enriquez?
Hohner Panther is really good. Try to get a Fa accordion but a Mi is good too
Is the button accordion harder to play then a piano accordion?
When I push in the my accordion it’s like hard to push in do you know why? To like make it close
Like I push the button with the thing to let the air out but it’s hard to push it
In*
Guessing (2 months late) the air button valve pallet isn’t working.
It’s pretty simple inside if you open it up. Might be easy to see what’s wrong.
I would like to play according went and bought one
I need help I'm lost . I need help to learn the scale and so on. So many videos I comfused.
How do we push without it making a different note?
Can you contact for lessons
Do we have anyone who teaches here.
Tutorial
play trompetenecho
Too damned complicated! Piano accordion much easier and more versatile. But, nice effort, Damon....
Thank you!
