I woulda had some choice words for the dude who threw my check on the ground and the guy who was supposed to give the speech. They coulda easily ran up there and told him that it was a mistake in the contracts and he supposed to be telling jokes, not giving a speech. And those guys are the ones EDUCATING college kids 😵😵

i feel like the point was that he was trying to make was that he didn't actually say anything. tried to give us the image that he was just standing on the stage for an hour with a blank face.

As someone who's been a college student forcing myself into a class at a theoretically reasonable but practically not-at-all-reasonable time, I can't begin to imagine the sheer confusion those students must have been feeling as they watched this sweaty, terrified, utterly desperate man babble about note-taking and organization with no preparation for an hour. When you're at _that_ stage of your day, plain English from a prepared speaker feels like a French film played backwards. _This_ would be like a French film double-projected backwards and forwards at the same time, and also you've never seen a film before nor even heard of what they are.
Almost one hundred percent sure this was at UF, and the hotel is called the Reitz Union and it’s on campus.

I have been watching these comedy shows for a w while and this one is probably my favorite out of all of them.
OMG, even though this situation is just awkward and not a threat to anyone's health or well-being, for some reason this is the story that I found the most disturbing on this show so far. Kudos to Al Jackson for getting through that!

after completely bombing before I got off stage I would have said something like "the reason why I am doing so poorly and this is difficult to follow is because I did not take any notes and I did not devise an organized plan before coming on here" think it would have been a funny plot twist in the students eyes
That was one of the best. Funny. To the point. Believe-able. So many comics try way too hard on here, tell a boring story that reeks of exaggeration while throwing in predictable jokes with hacky affectations. This one was perfect
