Ive seen only one other person in my lifetime play the guitar and strings upside down. Amazing
saw an old man on Las Vegas Blvd playing upside down like this. strings and all. was the first time i had ever seen it. he was on one of the over pass walking bridges. he even let me play a little too.

I have a Knaggs and it is so Resonate if you hang it by the Headstock and don't let it touch anything else and Pluck the string then touch the body it goes right through it… after seeing I thought all guitars did that they don't!! I have many guitars to check that in!! My Knaggs and the guitar you have there sounds the same… except one difference yours is like half the weight as mine... It's easier to get that with a heavy guitar but, if your goal is to have both that takes a fine Luthier like you have there!!!

@@charlesrobinson7469 You’re welcome! I learned the hard way that the comparison thing is a trap. My two all time favorite guitar players are Hendrix and Van Halen. I will *never* function on their level…but I can maximize function on my level. I’m often pleasantly surprised. You can absolutely do the same thing!

Man I can tell you I’m 40 years old and have played most of my life went to countless guitar shows and tried so many great guitars and out of all of those guitars I can honestly say Eric makes the best I’ve ever played straight up the complete guitar from feel to sound and it’s amazing actually going to the shop and seeing these guitars come to life

I can assure you, that is not the case.
Do you reinforce the bridge screws in the paulownia? Is it dense enough to hold?
Yes. I did reinforce every place a screw goes. That was a huge concern I had. Even pickguard screws.

Not a terrible idea. But, I guess he is used to them without.
As a lefty upside down player myself, I would definitely appreciate the fret dots on the back side 😂 I’ve never had them. But like Eric, I’ve learned to play without them.
I did not realize how much I used them until I bought a lefty Strat years ago. I had it flipped over for me, A righty, and ended up putting dots on it.

When I built the first guitar for him, the Crown Guitar, I actually offered to make it a lefty. He is just used to this way, so asked for me to do this.

No, Jimmy played with the strings upside down just like a right handed guitar is strong. He didn’t string them like a left-handed guitar. The low east string was on the bottom of the neck.

Jimi could play with the strings on right handed or Left handed, there are a few videos of him playing other peoples guitars, Quite a few leftys can play that way because so many guitars are strung Righty,
But if you zoom in to any picture of Jimi you can see the thickest strings under the string tree, on the top of his neck, it's one of the things that give his strats a unique feel, the plain strings are shorter and his wound strings are longer.
Dots both sides would be good.....like the gold frets... .whats the weight?
