Thank you for this great tool Sergey Tyapkin. Learning it now through this quick start video. Two things I came across that might help other beginners like myself. 1 - @2:30 when using Quadrify, make sure "By selected Edges" check box is selected (mine was not by default) or else it would choose a random edge. 2 - @2:43 I had to hold alt first before it would unwrap and pack nice and straight. Otherwise, there was one island that was unwrapped with some curvature and not matching the video. It could all be just on my computer. Hope it helps someone else if they come across it.

@@danielmevit Sure. This is how I do it. With the mesh selected, go into Edit mode, click Alt-U to activate Zen UV. Choose Quadrify and an additional menu should pop up at the bottom left corner. Some times its expanded sometimes it's just a tab. Click on it and in the Advance section at the bottom of the menu, there should be a check box for "By selected Edges". I hope this helps. 😃

@@theone8625 I vote for this too, the organic model tutorial they have on their channel is too simple to be useful for complex organic characters, would love to see a worflow for those type of characters with this tool, gonna buy it anyway and try to figure it out, but a tutorial would help a ton!
At 2:46 when I do not select anything and I click ALT+U and select Zen Unwrap many of the islands in the uv editor are not quadrified again but rounded!
same here. operator said, you should mark finished first.
in the second 4:47 in a fraction of a second you apply quadrify on some islands to leave them uniform and square, everything is fine, in the next microsecond, you deselect you go to the 3d viewer and I think you apply zen unwrap and the islands are arranged while retaining their square shape . when i try to apply zen unwrap after straightening them, they are crooked again. Maybe you pressed something else, but it's not mentioned and it passes in less than a second. Could you clarify, thank you.

Hi! I'm having an issue with the vertices alignment. It squashes the whole island down to the center of the UV even though I have it set to selection not islands. I'm using Zen UV 4.2.2 with Blender 4.0.0
Enable Vertex by Vertex checkbox
How to select replicas in Zen UV 4.2.2.0 >?
when the Emulate 3 mouse button function is active, it is impossible to activate the menu item in the pie menu with alt pressed.
Only Blender developers can fix this because their navigation has the highest priority.

Hi! Align selected vertices Horizontally and Vertically
No option to group UV islands for packing as in 3ds Max? Because that's the only essential UV unwrapping feature that doesn't exist in Blender UV Editor
You can use UVPackmaster add-on, it has Group packing option.

why does Zen UV unwarp straight
Hello, when i select face and do Isolate, it only isolates the face, not whole shell connected to it, can you please tell me wham am i doing wrong?

Most possibly this shell consists of one face

The thing is I followed the tutorial step by step exactly and sometimes it isolated whole shell and sometimes only face. So I was trying to figure out what is the problem. The shell definitely wasnt consisted of only one face@@SergeyTyapkin
Normally it should isolate UV Island of the selected polygon.@@MaDmonkey3311
Hi, I am still new with this add-on and don't understand half of the functions Zen UV has but one thing bothers me most - I try to mirror seams based on axes on model with both sides the same (knife) but it works one way only. I can't choose what side of the model with seams should be copied. Is it me or the Zen UV, lacking this feature? Thank you
Edit: I tried to rotate the object by 180 degrees but it still mirrors the "wrong side".

it just took time to get used to the ZEN UV 4 interface. Now I understand why is this must-have addon. SUddenly, I actually like UV unwrapping.

honestly this tutorial could be better, if you would explain your intentions. in my case from 2:00 my unwarp and selection looks different a bit different and this kind of "monkey tutorial" (do this and do this and do this) starts confusing me. i still think, this is a great addon, but from 2:00 i have to find out by myself, the philosophy and intention of this workflow.
and your video is a bit delaying.
