  • Åkare Lundgrens Begravning (Driver Lundgren's Funeral) is a Swedish song written by Ruben Nilsson (1937).
The song is about how upon Lundgren's death, his four mourning sons are bringing him/his coffin to the cemetery. On the way to the funeral, they stop and the pub for some liquid courage, and as it turns out they visit many pubs and get quite drunk. When they finally make it to the cemetery, the priest has gone home and they find nothing but a freshly dug grave. They lower the coffin and sing a song.
Does it really matter to the dead man that the coffin landed upside down and the lid fell off, when his four sons are there mourning him?
